Bab 439: I Blame Yavok

Demyan borrowed me a tracksuit; which was technically my tracksuit because I remembered him leaving the house with but he denied it, to wear after a quick shower. I hoped I could sneak out without anyone detecting and told myself I would pick up Belli after lunch. 

Yet just as Demyan and I crept down the stairs Malia walked into the common space dressed in a pink summer dress and unicorn slippers. Her hair up in a messy bun as she held Belli in her arms. "And where are you two sneaking off too?"

Demyan and I both jolted as we turned to face her with nervous smiles. 

"Ethan was sneaking out because he didn't want to make you uncomfortable," Demyan nodded. I looked at him with pure bafflement and he gave me a shrug, "What? I told you I don't lie anymore."

I ran my hands down my face wishing I could knock some common sense in him before I chuckled. "I didn't want to invade your space."
