Bab 54: Chapter 10 Burden of Expectations

"Ioki..." A soft voice rang through the darkness.

Each time the voice calls out to Ioki, a white light illuminates the dark space.

"I've seen and learned what it meant to let my followers suffer with what I thought would be for the greater good..." The weight in each of her words was obvious as hints of regret were conveyed in her contemplative voice.

Ioki tried to focus, searching for the source of the voice. He looked far toward the horizon until he saw a figure covered in white light.

"What will come after this is a harsh trial; knowing how you will act will make you the enemy of the masses." She voiced her concern firmly.

"The first Child of Light tread the same path as you. You'll see their traces..." As if saying something that left her feeling bitter, she ended it with a forced chuckle.
