Bab 36: 36. A unfavorable favor

Anna watched the car after it parked in the Garden. The two maids George hired greeted him and walked away, leaving him in the Garden.

Anna studied George, monitoring his actions as she sipped her coffee. George had been staying so far from her and even when Anna told herself that it was favorable for her, she just didn't like it.

George had celebrated with Anna when she got the power to use her hands but Anna didn't like the way he did. He only congratulated her and left the house as if she didn't mean that much to him.

Was it because she rejected him?

'Anna had hurt him more than I can ever imagined. Truly, he had endured a lot from Anna. The embarrassment, the humiliation, and the disrespect. Anna might be a good person to other people but she wasn't good to George. She was only nice to him whenever she wanted to use him. And I think I did the same'
