 In the Beast Emperor's Mausoleum, Kai Syaoran had already broken through to become a Beast Duke equivalent to the Heaven Monarch realm.

He had spent the past three years fighting constantly against the humanoid creatures that had lost their minds. He had found out why the Beast Emperor's mausoleum. The swirling darkness corru[ted and destroyed souls. This left these humans as moving soulless creatures with nothing but instincts left within the soul fragments they had left.
