Bab 79: The Strongest
*Cough Cough Argh~" Bullet coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth uncontrollably. As Whitebeard released his arm, Bullet slipped to the ground, clutching his stomach, unable to stand up for a while.*
"Guurarara~" Whitebeard chuckled softly. "Are you going to continue this meaningless battle?"
"I will definitely defeat you and claim the title of the world's strongest man!" Bullet snarled with defiance, his eyes gleaming with cunning.
Ignoring the reluctant pain, he jumped up, rushed to the shore of the bay, and slammed the ground with a fist. A deafening boom echoed as the ground trembled and broke apart, revealing a massive battleship, its steel hull gleaming ominously.
"Next comes the real decisive battle!" Bullet roared triumphantly. With a swift motion, he leaped onto the battleship, a burst of purple light erupting from his hands as he enveloped the entire vessel. The transformation process would take some time, but when it was complete, the battleship stood before them as a formidable humanoid figure, a testament to Bullet's terrifying power.
"What kind of power is this?" Luffy stood nearby, visibly shocked.
"Bullet ate the Clank-Clank Fruit, which grants him the ability to combine with various warships and matter!" Marco explained, his tone tinged with urgency. "After Bullet merges with the battleship, his strength will far exceed what it was before!"
"What about Uncle Whitebeard?" Luffy asked, concern evident in his voice.
"Don't worry, Pops is much stronger than that. He'll be just fine!" Ace reassured, his confidence in Whitebeard unwavering.
"Yes!" The other division commanders nodded in agreement, their unwavering faith in Whitebeard evident.
As the discussion ensued, Bullet launched a relentless attack, the combined Bullet resembling a massive, unstoppable robot as it swung its huge arm towards Whitebeard.
"Guurarara~" Whitebeard laughed heartily. "Bullet, are you finally going to unleash your full power?"
With a thunderous boom, Bullet's fist descended, its force palpable even from a distance.
"Here we go!" Hawkeye's eyes narrowed as he observed the impending clash.
But just when everyone thought Whitebeard would evade, he stood his ground, not budging an inch.
"No way?" Everyone gasped in disbelief, shocked by Whitebeard's unyielding stance. A wild thought crossed their minds.
"Whitebeard doesn't intend to confront Bullet head-on, does he?" The realization dawned on them as they watched in awe.
Indeed, as the giant fist hurtled towards him, Whitebeard met it head-on, his fists cloaked in Armament Haki, shocking everyone with his indomitable strength.
With a deafening explosion, an invisible shockwave rippled out, sweeping through the surroundings. The billowing smoke filled the air, obscuring visibility and heightening the tension as onlookers waited anxiously to see the outcome of the intense clash.
"I wonder who will emerge victorious from this showdown?" one spectator pondered aloud.
"It's possible that Whitebeard might have met his match, given the sheer power behind Bullet's blow," another speculated.
"That's true. With his fruit ability, Bullet's strength has skyrocketed. Even for the world's strongest man, this won't be an easy brawl," a third voice chimed in.
Amidst the crowd, a group of unknown pirates began whispering among themselves, their voices hushed in anticipation. But before they could finish their discussion, the smoke began to dissipate, revealing the scene unfolding before their eyes.
All eyes were fixed on the spectacle, horror creeping into their hearts as they witnessed the astonishing sight. Despite the tremendous force behind Bullet's giant fist, Whitebeard stood unwavering, his resilience defying expectations.
"How can this be?!" gasped the onlookers in disbelief as Bullet's assault proved futile against Whitebeard's unyielding stance.
"Bullet!" Whitebeard's voice rumbled low, a harbinger of the impending counterattack as the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit surged forth like a mighty wave.
Boom! A thunderous roar resonated through the air as the ground quaked beneath them. Bullet's colossal form staggered under the onslaught, unable to withstand the overwhelming force directed at him.
With each tremor, the ground beneath Bullet's feet shattered, his massive frame gradually yielding to the relentless onslaught. Finally, with a resounding crash, he plummeted to the ground, cracks spiderwebbing across his mechanical body.
Silence descended like a heavy shroud, punctuated only by the stunned gasps of onlookers, including notable figures like Hawkeye, Doflamingo, Byrnndi World, and Jack the Drought, their astonishment palpable.
Everyone stared in disbelief at Whitebeard, grappling to comprehend the magnitude of his unmatched strength.
"Is this even real?" murmured one observer, his voice tinged with incredulity.
"Even after Bullet unleashed his fruit ability, he couldn't lay a finger on Whitebeard?" another exclaimed in disbelief.
"What a display of power! Whitebeard shattered that combined robotic arm with just one punch. His strength knows no bounds!" cried out another, awe evident in his tone.
As the reality of Whitebeard's dominance sunk in, fear and awe gripped the hearts of those present, leaving them to ponder the true meaning of being the strongest in the world.
Indeed, the strongest is one who can effortlessly overcome any adversary, regardless of their stance or abilities.
