"....You can continue." With a heavy heart, Esme accepted her fate of loving a man who was romantically involved with another woman on a different continent. Although she believed it was a misunderstanding, seeing that woman naked and being embraced by him made her feel the need to hear his explanation. So, Esme closed the door and retreated with a blank expression on her face.

Ryuk stayed quiet as Esme closed the door and vanished from sight. He gazed at the woman in his arms, undressed and seemingly unconscious from the torment and weeping. A smile crossed his face as he directed his attention to the door. He then proceeded to carry the woman in a princess-style hold towards a nearby wooden bed, declaring, "It's funny how you don't trust me."
