He took a puff of his cigarette, and let out the smoke. His facial features were blurred by the blue smoke, making his expression inscrutable.

Purple Summers was feeling annoyed and was about to leave when she heard Nathaniel Summers ask, "It seems you know a lot about Suzanne Saunders' affairs?"
