The phone traced a beautiful arc through the air, flying past and striking the car window before rebounding back and hitting the ground with a crisp sound.

Ironically, the phone was of such good quality that it didn't break, and the mechanical female voice inside continued, "The user is temporarily unable to answer your call, we will inform you via text message later."

Enna Clark dared not answer his phone!

What on earth was she doing? Hadn't they agreed before she left that she must answer his calls? Even if she missed it, she was supposed to call back within an hour!

From the moment he boarded the flight to the moment he disembarked, a full nine hours had passed, and she had neither called back nor answered!
