He took a deep breath, looked at Eve Thompson, and after a moment, he stood up abruptly and smashed Eve Thompson's phone onto the ground.

Eve Thompson didn't go to pick it up; her phone just rolled around on the carpet a few times before settling down.

Eve Thompson smiled, looked at Jonas Thompson, and spoke, "Dad, I really feel like interviewing you."
