The sandstorm in Mexico was intense, and as they drove out of the city, it slapped against the car windows incessantly.

The border town was scarcely populated, and by the afternoon, they had already left the territory controlled by Nero. Trenton Smith parked the car at a restaurant by the roadside, planning to take Norris Moore for dinner.

They were naturally well-prepared with dry food and water, but it was still good to have a proper meal if possible.

After all, they might not get many chances to resupply on the road ahead.

Trenton considered whether he should buy some dry food at the restaurant as well, when Norris gently hooked his finger, drawing his attention. He glanced at her and saw her subtly tilt her chin towards him without saying a word.

He turned to look inside the restaurant.

Because of its location near the edge of the city, the restaurant wasn't doing well.
