Norris stayed with Elias in the hospital for a while, but Elias, weak from his illness, dozed off again after they had talked a brief moment.

As she sat by his bed looking at his increasingly sallow skin, Norris felt somewhat depressed.

As Doctor Lindsay walked into the room, Norris approached him and whispered, "Doctor Lindsay."

Doctor Lindsay was Elias's primary physician and had been watching over him since Elias started staying in the hospital as a child.

"How is Elias..." Norris pursed her lips, "doing right now?"

Doctor Lindsay glanced at her furrowed brows and sighed, "The child is too young, so we can only provide conservative treatment. We will only know the details of his current situation after this round."

Norris bowed her head, rubbing her brow vigorously, after a while she asked, "In general, how long can a child who has a kidney transplant live?"
