Bab 278: The Bait

Overwhelmed by the circumstances, the Goddess required a moment to compose herself before she could find the proper words again. Her nerves were still standing on edge, and she was struggling to piece together the revelations of the day.

It was akin to a bad melodrama– Not only did she almost lose two of whom she loved the most, the ex-husband came back from the dead!

What the heck was this? Who wrote this awful play…?! (*ahem* *cough*)

But if the men were expecting her to be weepy and docile, they were sorely misled.

For once she regained her composure, the deity was merciless!

Twisting the Sky God by his ear, she growled angrily at him, "How dare you go back on your words! You promised that you wouldn't venture into the Mortal Realm, and you immediately did! Thinking you could pull a fast one, did you…?!"
