Bab 559: Gentle fiance

"Sophia Jackson stood upright before him, speaking softly, "Do I need a reason to come to Ahmed Country?"

Her voice was a bit hoarse, not due to emotions, but rather because she had not spoken for a long time.

Frank Smith sighed, unplugged the hairdryer and coiled the cord, placing it aside, "That's your business."

After he finished this, he turned around, preparing to return to the kitchen to continue helping.

Having walked a few steps, Sophia's voice suddenly called out from behind him.

She only said three words, yet they conveyed her longing for him over the past month:

"I missed you."

Hearing her response, Frank's foot paused.

Sophia, with her messy, uncombed hair, walked up to Frank, "I missed you, Frank, did you hear me clearly?"

Frank looked sideways at her, "Why must you put yourself through this?"

"I'm not tormenting myself." Sophia denied, her tone steady, "I've always known what I want."
