Yato's expression remained unreadable as he absorbed my confession. His gaze seemed to penetrate through me, assessing the sincerity of my words.

After a prolonged silence, he finally spoke, "I see."

His response lacked judgment or condemnation. Instead, there was a calm acceptance, as if he had expected such an answer.
