Bab 68: Peaceful Offering

As hours turned into a disconcerting wait, the atmosphere at Mirai's house grew heavy with concern. Azrael, ever the vigilant one, couldn't shake off the worry that gnawed at him. His eyes, usually sharp and observant, now reflected a flicker of uncertainty. Mirai, too, shared in his unease, her thoughts drifting to Gabriel, whose absence echoed loudly in the silent house.

Azrael paced back and forth, his angelic senses on high alert, trying to catch any faint whisper of their comrades' presence. Mirai, her brows furrowed with worry, clutched her phone tightly, hoping for a call or a message that would bring relief to their anxious hearts.

"Where could they be?" Mirai voiced the question that hung heavy in the air.

Uriel approached Azrael; her voice firm yet empathetic. "Az, I want to help. Let me find Gabriel's location so that you won't have to worry anymore."
