With the death of the Lich, the ghouls under his command also crumbled into dust, and without those ghouls, the problems within the city also went away. That would be the case if they didn't have enemies outside of the city. So after killing the Lich, Aphrodite returned to the city to recruit some succubi who would volunteer to fight.

When she returned to the city and said that the water and food problems were fixed, she was met with a lot of applause and a feast. Later, when she asked for volunteers, many people came forward to show their gratitude for helping them. They set off the next day after the feast to first go to the orc territory.
