"I can't believe we've actually done it," Richard whispered, his voice laced with a mix of astonishment and satisfaction.

The morning rays of the sun were beginning to announce the arrival of a new day, sneaking through the gaps of the heavy, dark curtains that hung from the ceiling to the floor.
