Exhaustively perplexed, Seth motionlessly lay upon the wet leaves staring at the evil angels. However, what made him astonished was the word "system power is running low, expose to direct sunlight". It was so weird though, but Seth's situation right now was the weirdest.
Wormwoods looks were clearly indicating horrendous judgments. Seth who thought he would never have to see Wormwoods again was now visible in front of him. Not even that it was in his dream, but was in physical reality.
Sure, Seth truly knew he was in deep danger. His harsh manner of approach to Wormwoods had instantly died off. As they would say, dreams can never match reality. Seth might have been obscene and spirited in his nightmare, but now, he definitely stood no chance. Maybe this might be the end, the end of humanity — since he is the only one left. And finally, the universe will continue in ruin for infinity.
Wormwoods could hear the system, so it was unable to reveal the other evil angel's identity. The angel looked somewhat weaker than Wormwoods but though, he was very much scary.
He possessed four short hands with a flimsy sword as its palm. His shanks were short and chubby, blue veins rolled atop and beneath its skin. His feathers were scanty in their packs, geriatric and chaffy as though that of a porcupine. His eyes were dark and fierce, and his fat feet were stumpy upon the soft grounds of the forest.
This angel was nothing but a huge short evil thing. But even if this one looked extremely dread, Seth still hated Wormwoods more.
Now, his decision was what would determine his next move. He'd be ready to face death one-on-one if he allowed them to take him into that caravan and to Dead God knows where. Or, he should also be prepared for an endless chase if he tries to escape.
All in all, none of the options was good. Even if he would escape, he was surely going to get caught because the evil angels usually run with wings and he was just going to get himself exhausted by attempting to wander around.
'If I try using a sword, I'm just going to get killed like a helpless lamb lost in the woods. '
"Of course. Don't you try to let off that chain. I'm sorry to tell you this... Good boy, your legs are going to get ripped off its socket", thoughts hearer, Wormwoods said as he stepped close to Seth's spot.
Seth scowled as a response
"Let me go! I don't need evil", Seth whispered, trying to pull himself from the shackles. His veins were cluttering with his endodermis, causing him to feel more pain inside him.
"Seth Fiske, you look seem so frantic. Your real family belongs to evil and you are going against evil. Your father is one of the goblin armies, your mother is a high-ranked angel. The strongest earthly angel to be precise."
"And so what?!", Seth asked.
"Look here little boy, no matter how you try to drive away from evil, you core still reveal who you are. Your mom is waiting to accept you into the culture of Evil. Don't hesitate to accept the Devils. Come on", Wormwoods said, stretching forth his hands for Seth to hold.
"No! I won't go with you. I am not evil and cannot be evil. As I told you in my nightmare, I'd rather die than go for Evil. "
Wormwoods was stunned. He had wanted it to go calmly and peacefully but Seth insisted. Being the only human on earth was so crucial for him to keep up with. Seth already knew the consequences, he was going to die and vanish with no trace.
"Okay, if so, get ready to die in Gazehelm because we are going to pass through a spiritual realm before leaving this Island. If you manage to survive, then count yourself as one of the Evil descendants. You are so alone boy... "
"No! He is not alone! Never was."
A tranquil feminine voice was heard from nowhere. Boldness filled its content, and her tone flowed with high leverage, creating wide confusion for the two angels.
Turning to the direction of the voice, Seth saw a spectacular, beautiful-looking lady. Her piercing dark blue eyes gazed at both Seth and the angels as her long orange hair fluttered in accordance with her stunning movement. Her pale skin was dull, though, not too bad and her little pointed nose looked astonishing.
'She's a human! Yes! I'm not alone', Seth thought as Wormwoods glanced at him, and later back to the approaching lass.
The lady held a long string clamped with a sharp triangular-shaped blade at the front edge. Indeed, Her iconic approach made Seth dazed. Besides, no one would have the guts to interrupt the evil angels, not humans, not even the citizens of the present world called angels.
The way Seth saw the situation at this moment was quite relieving. At least, the distraction would buy him time to find how to free himself from the chains. Also, he really wanted to watch how this confrontation would go.
'If this lady can be this courageous to step to this angels, then she should be a very strong fighter, more or less. I hope she is because I don't want to watch someone die, not again', Seth thought, eyes on the lady who was focused on evil angels.
"He is not evil, you don't have to force him", She turned to look at Seth with a serious expression and glanced back to the Wormwoods. "You can't get him, even if you try a million times. He is foreordained for something beyond your powers. And I also won't let you take my counterpart. Evil is evil, Good is good. See it that way, Your mistress can't stop us, and so do your masters."
Without leaving a second gap after those words, Wormwoods and Orobars rushed towards the lady, with their feathers producing longer and sharper claws. Wormwoods controlled the decayed woods the forests to whip down the lady's legs, and the leaves in the thicket were before her face to convey distractions.
Seeming not to be baffled, the lady made short jumps while flailing the leaves in the air. Relaxed and audacious, she sprinted towards Wormwoods and, slashed the air with an aim to snip his claws. With that move, Wormwoods might be unable to fly. His own flying abilities were empowered by his strongly affixed claws.
Seth knew that it was fairly impossible to eliminate Wormwoods claws. The long silver nails were as though they were made of unremovable vigorous bones attached to one's arm joint. At this time, Wormwoods had advanced above, though, Orobars was in the fight this time.
Seth was amazed with the lady's skill. Typically, no human has ever had an excellent skill like fighting with ropes. Even in the last wars between the humans and the aliens, the only weapons the humans used were guns and arrows which they failed at the end. Truthfully, the lady was extraordinarily proficient.
"How it might be, I don't know, but I must learn this, even more better than her", Seth said, still watching the scene of the battle. Really, this lady was confronting two angels.
Since the three fighters were busy with themselves, Seth quickly summoned his system to identify both the lady and the other short-limbed angel. At first, the system exhibited what it had shown earlier:
< System power is running low, expose your body to direct sunlight. >
< Orobars (Angel of bondage) is here to capture you. If you get apprehended, you are likely to die in Gazehelm. >
< Gina Baxter (Sun queen). Also a user of the Good system ( Adequate level ). She is here to save you. And... >
< System power is low, expose your body to direct sunlight. The system is going to shut down in less than an hour. >
"Uhh! Too bad. But, Gina Baxter... What a huge name", Seth said, looking amazed. Though, he liked the name for its congruence with Gina's actions. "She should be prepared to explain the meaning of the name 'Gina'. "
Seth peeked back to the combat scene, looking angry based on his system's power flops. If he was to explore with his sense of thought, he would imagine why the system power was reducible. Now he discovered that all things in opposition with evil have possibilities in reduction and reverse.
"I can't wait to hear how she managed to obtain a lot to level up to a higher level. It's outlandish for me with my ever-demanding system."
Later on, Seth saw himself being freed by Gina. Although, the angels were not defeated. They ran. Seth was stupefied at that moment. Glimpsing at the highly exhausted lady, he wanted to ask many questions. But it seems she was not giving him attention to speak.
"We have to get out here now, the Devils are planning to demolish the Island", she said, breathing roughly while trying to walk away.
"Wait! Who are you? Where are you from?", Seth asked, immediately after standing up from the ground, close to the Caravan.
Gina looked back, sighed, and continued her walk, ignoring Seth's questions. She looked like a warrior outside of her, but her inner look seemed different. Her voice could tell and her innocent face was truly showing a bit of it.
"Wait!", Seth shouted again while running towards her. "warriors like you aren't in this world. Ummm, I mean you are incredible in your skills."
"Was I?", she asked, grinning as she glanced at Seth. A compliment was what could make her talk. Albeit, no one would prohibit commendations. Even the Devils themselves are highly sympathetic to praises, much less humans.
"Yeah! You were incredible, they escaped from you. And that makes you a super fighter", Seth spoke. Gina chuckled, rolling her string on the autumn air. She nodded and stared back at Seth who was eager to hear her response.
"They might run now, but they would surely come back for me. "
Then she sighed and pointed at Seth.
"And for you. "
"I know, this is the second time I have seen that brown-skinned bitch son. That's why I'm still here. I should have left the Island", Seth said.
"You are lucky you haven't. You should have been a dead boy by now", Gina said, shaking her head while resuming with her string swings.
"Anyways, I'm Gina... Gina Baxter. "
"Seth Fiske. Actually, my Nanny mother gave me that name."
"Nice name, you were lucky to have someone. I gave myself my own name", Gina said. " And I really love it. "
"Wow, quite weird. But, where do you live? "
Gina chuckled once more and stopped walking. She looked at Seth's forehead with a surprised face and grimaced.
"What happened to your forehead? I can see your skull through this hole. "
"Ummm, I got struck by lightning on the Dusk Night. I found myself in a desert after that, and, that was where I saw Wormwoods", Seth aforementioned.
"You got struck by lightning during the Dusk Night? How could that be?"
"After finding myself in the desert, a system descended on me and now, I'm forced to do extraordinary things. "
"Wait! You already have a system?", Gina asked with a surprised utterance.
"Yes", Seth answered, waiting to hear her next words.
"Is it the Good system or the Evil system? "
"Of course, the Good system", Seth answered. This time he was confused. He wondered why Gina was with such questions.
"What's your regard?", she asked again.
"Ummm, Growing... "
"Growing savior, that's it. Wow, you are truly Ze... Okay. Ummm, I live in Phantom Falls. Let's go. You have to study the Stone marks", Gina said, dragging Seth into a jagged road.
"Wait! You said, Phantom Falls? The ghosts falls?"
"Yes, don't worry, I live quite far from there. Come on let's go. The Evil angels might come back soon. "
As Seth made the first bounce in his jogs, a shiny black light appeared on its usual screen. Looking at it, Seth became pissed off and frustrated at the same time.
< The system is shutting down in ten seconds. Your status points are going to get lost. Expose your body to direct sunlight immediately. >
< Shut down in 10... 9... 7... 6... >
