"Atmosphere" has many meanings in Asian languages, and Riku's ability is thought to apply to as many situations. Though it differs in form somewhat, Meiling's ability is similar to Iku's in some ways. Iku's ability allows him to immediately grasp the context of a situation and smoothly insert himself. Perhaps his ability is more related to mood than atmosphere. Maybe reading a room is evident in his gentle manner and his politeness... but this side of him is not always present while he is on a mission. The ways he carries himself in battle, including his ability to so effortlessly dance through his enemies' attacks may be because he is skillfully reading his enemies' fighting spirit. His command of thunder and lightning may also be related to him reading the atmosphere because they are a product of the atmosphere surrounding the planet. Electricity is energy of the Wood Phase, as is the wind, meaning they both share a root origin in the flow of air. If that's the case, then the atmosphere that Riku controls may not be limited to the Wood Phase, but because such a thing has not been directly observed, there are no details to speak of. Atmosphere is an invisible force that affects everything within it, much like the atmosphere around the Earth that traps air within it. Air may be the atmosphere closest to us, and by breathing it in, we take the atmosphere itself into our bodies. Because of this, in ancient times, breathing was considered the bridge between the air of the outside world and the air inside the body. Riku's ability to read the atmosphere (or air) may be more closely linked to these two kinds of air... maybe.

Abilities: Capable of Manipulating Death - This is the ability to, without exception and without permitting any resistance, end the life of any living being, whether it be human or youkai . The only kind of creatures immune from this are Hourai Immortals . Be aware that this does not mean that she can make any person die instantly, but rather that she can make it so that any person will die with absolutely certainty, regardless of if they wish to die or not. Clearly and simply, it is an unusually and dreadfully powerful ability. Although the fear and responsibility brought with this ability is what drove her to commit suicide and become a ghost , it seems that she hasn't forgotten this ability since then, and it seems that she can use this ability in a carefree manner (though she doesn't act carelessly in the usage of this ability). However, she whether's able to end life only to the extent of fainting, or if she tempts one to death gently, is unclear. During her lifetime, the latter was true. Her Last Word " Saigyouji Parinirvana " is said to be the very incarnation of this ability.

Abilities: Capable of Handling Sword Techniques - While the ability may seem to simply explain Youmu's skill with the sword, it also shows her potential. Those around her tend to call her inexperienced, and her appearance does make her seem young, but if she were to go up against a regular human, she would be considered an expert with the sword. She follows the teachings of her fencing instructor and ancestor and trains daily (to the point that she eventually learns how to cut time itself). Her two swords also give her strength. Her long sword, the Roukanken, was forged by youkai, and her shorter sword, the Hakurouken, can sever lingering attachments and the cycle of rebirth. There isn't much that she can't cut.

Abilities: Capable of using Shikigami - In Ran's case, the ability to use shikigami means the ability to control Chen. You could call shikigami a kind of pattern―like software for the computers used in the outside world. Ran herself is Yukari's shikigami, but she has Chen as her own shikigami too. Software allows a computer to do something it could not originally do, so youkai possessed by shikigami can do things they normally would not have been able to, but it also stops them from doing other things at the same time. If you want to know more, you should ask Yukari.
(A/N: I said that Ran and Yukari are sisters in this series and I stand by it. And for this one Ran treats Chen as her daughter rather than a Shikigami.)

Flandre once used this ability with Remilia to destroy a meteorite aimed at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The range of the ability, how it destroys, and the cost for using this ability is not clear, but apparently, every object has something called an "eye" which is where its tension is highest. By moving this eye into her hand and squeezing it, Flandre is able to destroy the object the eye belongs to. Just hearing about this ability is enough to make anyone's chest feel tight.

While this ability should only refer to the qi within her, the teachings of qigong, or qi arts, from the continent say that inner and outer qi are in continuous flow. Through Meiling's own qi, she should be able to read the qi around her and even the qi of other people... Whether she actually does so or not is a different story.

She can also compress the flow of time to make both past and future to exist at the same time, making the same object from different timelines be in many places simultaneously. The extent of her ability lets her not only control the time of the place in which she is, but influence the flow of time of a person, a specific object or even a small zone if she so desires, such as stopping the time of an object and thus affecting the space, making it stand still on thin air or creating time suspension fields where everything inside them will be affected by her ability; she can also accelerate or decelerate the movement of objects from slowed down speed to incredibly high speed, to even reaching the speed of light, making it move at tremendous speed.

Abilities: Capable of Creating Spirit Photos - Hatate Himekaidou uses this ability for journalisim. Thoughtograpy/Spirit Photos is a type of supernatural power that makes it possible to burn an image held in one's mind onto a surface. On the occasions where Hatate actually goes out searching for a scoop, she looks at the scene she wants a picture of and then envisions it in her mind, which she subsequently imprints onto film. This seems like a rather roundabout way to do things, but perhaps it is because her thoughtography ability only works with the special kappa-engineered camera she uses. Tengu are well known for having all sorts of supernatural powers, so perhaps this ability is not so unusual for Hatate to have.

Abilities: Capable of Manipulating the Wind - Aya Shameimaru's ability as a tengu. Crow tengu use their fans to make tengu gales... Or well, that is the usual image of them, and Aya's ability is a simple representation of that. Many of her Spell Cards use wind too. However, if you keep in mind that she is also a reporter, the meaning of "wind" changes. The idiom "the way the wind blows" refers to how a situation is developing, just like how a reporter is always keeping an eye on the latest developments in news. No matter how truthful or transparent news tries to be, in the end, it is still a selection of specific information, with bias from the reporter's impressions. If the tengu wanted to, she could easily manipulate the news in Gensokyo, blowing the wind in the direction she wanted it to go...

Abilities: Capable of Manipulating the Unconscious Mind - This terrifying ability allows Koishi to control the unconscious minds of others. She can use this ability to go completely unnoticed by others. It is so powerful that when she went to the Youkai Mountain, she passed right beneath the noses of the tengu guards and infiltrated all the way to Moriya Shrine undetected. Satori's and Miko's powers also don't work on her because of this ability. Koishi makes use of this ability in battles of bullets to make others relive memories that they have suppressed in their unconscious mind. According to Byakuren, this ability is not a result of Koishi closing her heart off to others, but of emptying her heart almost completely of emotion. This ability may appear unbeatable at first glance, but Reisen is able to sense her presence through ESP waves.

Abilities: Capable of Reading Minds - Satori is the name of a species of youkai with the ability to read minds. She can apparently see other's thoughts through a third eye on her chest. Her ability is limited to surface thoughts. However, she makes use of her bullets to hypnotize her target to make them recall old traumas, which she can then read to replicate Spell Cards that they have faced in the past. It seems that she is even capable of replicating Spell Cards that you'd think would require specific tools or inherent abilities to perform. This ability is part of the reason why the big players on the surface are so wary of Satori, and why most of the youkai and vengeful spirits in the Underworld (seem to) despise her so much. Furthermore, those who come face to face with Satori try to pick a fight with her because they detest having their thoughts read. While Satori does not wish for any confrontation, she seems destined to receive it due to her own ability. Her kind and compassionate nature may have grown as a result of her possessing this ability. It should also be noted that she cannot use this ability to read the thoughts in the closed off mind of her little sister, Koishi. In conclusion, Satori is a being that is capable of reading everyone else's thoughts and feelings, with her beloved little sister being the only exception. Yet she also finds it extremely difficult to have her thoughts and feelings understood by others.

Abilities: Capable of Carrying away Corpses - Rin Kaenbyou's ability as a kasha. Kasha are youkai who steal corpses from graveyards and funerals. There are different theories as to the true identity of this youkai. Some say it is an evil oni from Hell, others that it is a cat youkai like a bakeneko or an envoy from the world of the dead. However, based on Rin's appearance, it can be assumed that she is some type of cat beast youkai. There are various tales and superstitions regarding the connection between cats and corpses, and since Rin is a black cat, this probably led to humans detesting her all the more. Many of the tales involving kasha describe them as beings that come with a thunderstorm and descend down from the sky to steal a corpse, which they then take back up with them. There were probably quite a few instances of corpses being stolen from graveyards and funerals by wild animals back when civilization wasn't as advanced.

It is an immeasurably powerful ability. It is no exaggeration to say that the generation of stable energy through nuclear fusion reactions would be the greatest theses of physical science. Nuclear fusion is sought after as it would be a much more efficient and clean source of energy. At the same time, prospects for making it a reality with current technology are not bright. But it is often featured in sci-fi stories as a fantastical source of energy. The reason Utsuho can control such power on her own is because she has Yatagarasu, the Sun God Amaterasu's envoy and avatar for sunspots inside of her. Nuclear fusion is the power of the sun and an ultimate aspiration of mankind.

Abilities: Capable of making any drug. Natural Genius - She displays this ability for the people of the Japan that visit the hospital that her family owns. She may have only revealed a tiny portion of her many abilities, but this is to maintain the peace to ensure that her talents won't fall into the wrong hands. The ability to create medicine supports her daily life with Kaguya and the others. When compounding medicine, she sometimes borrows the abilities of others, as was the case with the Hourai Elixir, which she made by borrowing Kaguya's ability to manipulate eternity. The regular samples she receives from Medicine Melancholy allow her to develop new experimental drugs. Her knowledge of medicine is not limited to just the formulation of drugs but also extends to medicinal practice, making her a pharmacist and a doctor. She has even been witnessed performing surgery on multiple occasions.

ESP waves have their own wavelengths, with longer waves being more relaxed and shorter waves more quick-tempered. If the waves are too short, it can trigger madness... Be careful not to look into Reisen's eyes.

This ability made it possible to achieve the incredibly complex and challenging task of hiding Eientei from history. Eirin also used Kaguya's ability to create a medicine of eternal youth and immortality―the Hourai Elixir. It is said that Kaguya drank the Hourai Elixir because she was curious about life on the earth. Somewhat fitting for an impetuous princess, she risked everything on a spur-of-the-moment whim even though she was a being with an almost eternal lifespan... But she says that she doesn't regret it in the slightest.

Abilities: Capable of eternal youth and immortality - Just as the ability says, Fujiwara no Mokou is eternally young and immortal. This is the power of the people of Hourai. If you take the Hourai Elixir, your soul becomes immortal, so even if your body is completely destroyed, your soul becomes your core and completely regenerates your body. In other words, the life of a person of Hourai does not depend on their body at all. You could even say that their life transcends that of an ordinary human. That is the wish of all humans everywhere, but for Mokou, the moment she obtained this ability and the hardships of her life to come only made her feel fear and loneliness, and she had a long period where she was overcome with despair. That she can live positively as a regular girl now even with that kind of past is probably due to Gensokyo's accepting nature and the relationships she keeps.

If she actually did, her power would rival that of the gods... or even surpass them. However, it seems like she has no intentions of doing anything of the sort... But who knows? This is Yukari. She is always scheming something.

Abilities: Capable of Manipulating Density- Suika's ability allows her to alter the density of various things. She can use it to change her own body into a mist. Also, changing the density of objects lets her indirectly manipulate heat, which she uses in battle. The reason she is able to become a giant and create tiny clones of herself is presumed to also be due to this ability. Suika can apparently even create something like a black hole when she takes this ability to its extremes. This is an incredibly versatile ability that could be applied in all sorts of situations, but perhaps due to Suika's straightforward personality, she only uses it in a fairly limited manner.

Abilities: Capable of Wielding Unexplainable Phenomena- Yuugi Hoshiguma's ability lets her use phenomena that are said to be so incomprehensible that it should not even be possible to discuss them. These unexplainable phenomena that those who value reason and logic hesitate to talk about are as follows: Anomalies: Mysterious and unnatural occurrences. Strength: Courage and inexplicable feats of raw might. Disorder: Immoral antisocial behavior and rebellion. Spirits: Beings like gods and demons that cannot be seen and surpass human understanding. However, Yuugi is an oni, and that which is unexplainable is the domain of oni and youkai. Furthermore, the fact that Yuugi is the "Spoken of" Unexplainable Phenomena means that such phenomena become rumors and are talked about in the Human Village, which is quite handy since the continued existence of youkai is dependant on humans fearing them. Yuugi is a prime example of a youkai who has adapted to the current Gensokyo, as her day-to-day consists of pacifying vengeful spirits, taking it easy in Former Hell, and letting off steam by testing her strength whenever she pleases.

Ofuda Bullet - Using talismans or paper charms.
Normal Bullet - Imagine using Megaman's Mega Buster....that's a Normal Bullet.
Energy Bullet - Imagine Ryu using a "Hadouken".
Body Bullet - Basically Close Comabat.
Liquid Bullet - Bullets that liquefies upon impact.
Light Bullet - Using the light reflections as bullets. Blinding yet effective.
Laser Bullet - IMMA FIRE MAH LAZER!!!!
Sharp Bullet - Sharp projectiles like arrows or pointed objects.
Heavy Bullet - Imagine throwing a meteor. That's basically a Heavy Bullet.
Missile Bullet - JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE!!!(Shout out on who gets the reference).
Slash Bullet - Basically ranged sword slashes.
And for the Last Words, they are basically their Trump Card or their strongest Spell. However by using their Last Word, they won't be able to use their spell cards as it drains most of their power.
