Bab 19: CHAPTER 19
"Why didn't you tell me that your powers could do this??"
Shen Tian continued to shake Shao Haoran wildly.
"What about the effort that I put in earlier?? Do you know how tired I am right now after ploughing??"
Feeling helpless, he stopped shaking Shao Haoran and did the comic pose of supplication.[modern_footnote]1[/modern_footnote]
Shao Haoran sweatdropped upon hearing Shen Tian's words and seeing his reaction.
"Sorry, I just thought that you prefer to do the farming by hand."
"Of course not...", Shen Tian sniffed.
Shen Tian regained his composure after venting a bit.
"That's okay.", he said while patting the dust off his hands and knees. "Anyway, this is absolutely great, thank you for doing this. You have quite great control of your powers for you to have easily created this, huh?"
"Well, yes," Shao Haoran was quite embarrassed. "I did practice a lot to be able to control my powers. Lighting is a very destructive power and if I don't have full control over it, I'll end up killing allies in battle. So I had no choice but to practice a lot."
"You've worked hard.", Shen Tian patted the other man's back. Seeing Shao Haoran's work, Shen Tian understood that the man must have practiced a lot to be able to precisely cut land into shape.
"Thank you for using your powers to plough the land, but shouldn't you be saving it up so you can be in full power soon?"
"Don't worry, this isn't much."
Shen Tian didn't want to pry any further so he quickly inspected the land to see if they still need to do anything or if they can proceed to planting.
"It looks like you've done a really good job.", Shen Tian was happy after the inspection. "We can go ahead and plant the rice and potato. We'll just irrigate the rice paddy today. We'll start planting the rice if we still have time today."
Shao Haoran agreed to Shen Tian's instructions.
After resting for a bit and eating lunch, the two men proceeded to work on the farm.
