Time seemed to drag on unnervingly. The room was shrouded in silence, interrupted only by the faint shuffling and rusting of clothes, as Helbana examined and healed all of Yu Qingyu's injuries, one by one. 

Her every move was closely followed by Liu Wei's weary, but still sharp eyes. The man sat on the ground by the wall, a few feet away from the bed so that he wouldn't disturb Helbana. Although he didn't want to distract her, he still couldn't help but stare so intensely that his gaze was close to burning holes in the woman's hands. The expression on his face appeared quite stoic, but his bouncing knee betrayed him, revealing his anxiousness, so uncharacteristic of him.

Eventually, after what felt like forever, but was actually half an hour at most, Helbana covered Yu Qingyu back up with a blanket, and slowly got up from the floor, letting out a heavy sigh.
