21*390 - Venus
It was tormenting as she deliberated her options. It seemed like a no-brainer. Whichever way she looked at her situation, she believed her fate was going down the gutter no matter which direction she chose.
It was frustrating as she slowly walked out of the room with her sagging shoulders and head down, contemplating her next move. She barely noticed the shiny tiled floors as her feet walked on the empty, silent corridor.
"Oops!" She gasped for air as her body bumped into something hard. "Ouch!" Then, she felt the cold concrete wall as her shoulders slammed intensely on its hard surface.
She would have kissed the floor if she had not held on tightly to something her hand accidentally clamped on, or her slight bruises might have been worse.
Then, luckily, her face missed the protruding lampshade on the wall that lit the hallway, avoiding a likely ugly cut on her forehead.
I hope you can all understand if I used my sickness as an excuse to rest, take a vacation and spend time with my family. I feel so much better now.
Hopefully, I can return to my regular writing by next month. Please be patient with me as I slowly ease my way back to writing. But I will try my best to write and upload as much as I can.
Thank you again for reading my stories.
