Again, what was wrong with her?
She was supposed to be angry. She should be mad because they broke her rule. But instead, she could only feel relieved, seeing that her husband was safe.
Her heart relatively calmed down upon gazing at his presence, her body relaxed, and her mind felt at ease. She guessed he was home. That was all that mattered.
"Mom, I and Angelique are hungry, so I asked Dad to get us some milk and a couple of cookies. Are you mad?" Oliver hastily made his excuse, even using their guest to justify his actions.
"No, but you still know better. We have rules for a reason." She never believed in punishment. She preferred positive reinforcement in disciplining her child.
"But I will let it slip this once since we have a guest." And she did not usually make a habit of overlooking a misbehavior.
However, she was not running a prison. Therefore, she allowed a few exceptions to the rules. And this was one of those times.
Thank you very much for reading my story.
I know the story still needed a lot of work, but I am doing my best.
For those who said that I needed to proofread my work due to the grammatical errors and other writing issues, I tried.
But unfortunately, it was not enough since English is not my primary language.
And I guess my lack of time is also a factor. I could barely write a chapter a day with my real life situation. So, I hope, for now, my efforts would suffice.
Anyway, thanks still for reading and supporting my stories despites their flaws.
