She found herself in a tight spot.

Are they seriously asking them to kiss in front of them?

Of course, the idea bothered her as she looked from the older couple to her son, who appeared anxiously waiting. They can't be serious. She repeated in her mind as she sat still in her seat, unable to move or decide what to do.

Thankfully, Damon made the first move as he leaned forward and kissed her on her forehead. It was quick and clinical, nothing romantic or fancy.

"Yehey! Mom and Dad are not fighting anymore." She heard her son amidst the chaos in her brain cheering for them.

At least someone seemed to be happy with their kiss and makeup. But Jules sensed that Damon's grandparents were unconvinced by their act.

"Can I be excused? Me and Bullet are just going to play outside." Oliver asked after he just finished his last bite.
