Bab 169: The Raging Blizzard (1)

Mikael felt the cold touch him again as it seeped through the window. He shivered slightly as his mind wandered off, thinking about what happened after the incident with the wolf cub, and the heated confrontation he had with Nicolaus.

While Nicolaus deserved the slap, Mikael was still shocked that he did that nonetheless. From then, he noticed his sudden strangeness.

He recalled him sniffing his nape – not like he had not done that before and a couple of times. Another was that Nicolaus appeared feverish, his skin burning. His gaze was also lingering in a weird manner, and even gleaming so differently than before.

In all honesty, Mikael had a hunch about what was happening to him at that time. But to hear it confirmed by Miss Celia, it sent his heart racing. At the same time, Mikael found his other hand on his nape, instinctively traveling his fingers on the mark bond on his skin.
