Bab 76: Night Watch (3)

'I have messed up so badly!' Mira thought about her promise. She had vowed not to be caught, not to let anyone know what she was up to.

Yet, here she was, already failing her mission. 'Not now, not like this!'

Mira was clutching onto Talon's pants with a firm grip as she begged for his help desperately. Her eyes were filled with terror and urgency. "S, Sir, I, I am begging you," she implored.

Her fingers wound tightly around the fabric as if it were her last hope, her knuckles turning white from the strain as she struggled to maintain her hold.

She dragged herself on her knees, refusing to let go, even as Talon cautiously took a step backward, nudging Mira away. 

Meanwhile, the noises of the approaching knights had grown louder, making it apparent that they were closing in.
