A knock on the door as early as six in the morning revealed Giovanni, who walked into his parents bedroom with his eyes searching for his mother, before advancing over to where his father was preparing to leave for the day.

"Where is she?" He asked his father in a rude tone, which made Edward pause what he was doing to look at him, for him to be sure that he certainly wasn't dreaming hearing him talk to him like that.

"A lovely morning to you too, and if you are asking about your mother, she left early to meet your grandmother who arrived in Manhattan last night.''Edward replied, choosing to ignore him since he didn't know what stuck up his ass this early morning for him to be this way.

Not that it was any of his concern anyway, since he had far more important things to worry about, which was about his mother, but unfortunately Giovanni wasn't satisfied with his answer, before coming closer to where he was.
