As the training session concluded, a voice broke the silence. It came from right behind us, and it was familiar. "Hey Dante and Vergil, Shinobu is calling both of you to her office."

Startled, I turned to see Jade, she was breathing heavily like she had ran all the way to the training room.

Feeling a sense of urgency, Vergil turned to me and said, "Granny is calling," his tone carrying a hint of displeasure. We both knew that disobeying Shinobu's summons was not an option. She was the head and also the strongest.

"I, uh, maybe he's just afraid of a lecture from Shinobu," I mumbled, but the words slipped out before I could stop them. I quickly clamped my mouth shut and cautiously turned to meet Vergil's gaze, hoping to gauge his reaction.

His face contorted with anger, and he growled, "Watch what you say, kid."
