Bab 94: Chapter 92: The Invitation

Having successfully captured Muzan, Jon, stretched lazily before turning to leave the narrow alleyway.

Outside the alley, a somewhat pale-faced youth was waiting for him. It was Yushiro, the boy who had been accompanying Tamayo. His expression, as he looked at Jon, was clearly hostile.

"What are you doing here?" Jon asked casually, walking past him.

"Where's Muzan?!" Yushiro inquired.

"Regrettably, he got away," Jon replied nonchalantly.

"Hmph!" Yushiro scoffed, clearly not believing Jon's words.

Ignoring him, Jon continued on his way.

"Tamayo-San asked me to bring you to her. Come with me to the mansion," Yushiro called after him.

"I refuse," Jon responded without hesitation.

Yushiro paused, then asked, "Why?"

"Your master wants me to come over, obviously she needs my help. But you... you don't have the attitude of someone asking for help," Jon retorted.

Jon could guess why Tamayo was seeking him out. In the original story, she had asked the protagonist, Tanjiro, to help her collect the blood of the Twelve Demon Moons to create a cure to turn demons back into humans. This task was inconvenient for the Demon Slayer Corps, as most of them harbored deep hatred for demons. They wouldn't help her collect demon blood, and upon seeing Tamayo, a demon herself, they might attack without a second thought.

Tamayo sought Jon's help because he had shown mercy to a girl who had just turned into a demon, trying to save her instead of killing her outright. Jon was willing to help, as it wasn't a bad thing, and for him, it was a piece of cake. He could even get Muzan's blood if he wanted to.

However, Yushiro's attitude irked him. It wasn't the tone of someone asking for help, which annoyed Jon, and he decided to teach him a lesson.

"Hold on!" Yushiro called out as Jon was about to leave.

Jon knew Yushiro's intentions well. He was infatuated with Tamayo and didn't like the idea of her inviting others to the mansion. However, he didn't dare to disobey Tamayo's orders. Even though he was reluctant, if Jon didn't follow him back and upset Tamayo, it would be unacceptable.

"Please... come to our mansion," Yushiro said with difficulty.

Jon stopped, then deliberately leaned in and said, "What did you say? I didn't hear you clearly."

Yushiro, suppressing his anger, said in what he thought was the most polite tone, " Tamayo-san would like to invite you to the mansion. Please... would you come with me?"

Jon turned around, a smirk on his face, "About manners, you should learn more from your master."

Then, he snapped his fingers and said, "Lead the way."

"Hmph!" Yushiro swallowed his anger and led the way.

Soon, Yushiro brought Jon to a dead-end in another alley. It was a quiet, secluded place, perfect for hiding... or for murder. If Jon hadn't known the original story, he would have suspected Yushiro was planning to ambush him.

Yushiro looked at the wooden wall in front of him, then turned to Jon and said, "Hurry up, don't get caught by Muzan's minions!" He then walked straight through the wooden wall.

Jon, unfazed, shrugged and followed him through the wall.

On the other side of the wall was a large mansion with a strange talisman on the doorframe. Yushiro, waiting for Jon, was surprised to see that Jon was not at all startled by the illusion.

Yushiro had planned to teach Jon a lesson by showing off his illusion, hoping to mock Jon for his lack of knowledge if he showed any surprise. However, he had miscalculated. Jon had seen it all. He had killed the Darklord, fought the Ghost King, slaughtered aliens, and had learned magic from the Book of Darkness. This illusion was child's play to him. Yushiro's tricks were so trivial that Jon wouldn't even bother to learn them if Yushiro offered.

"Hurry up!" Yushiro said coldly, "Remember, you must not be rude to Tamayo-san. Even if you're rude to me, it doesn't matter. It's only because Tamayo-san pleaded with me that I brought you here..."

"Ah, I get it, I get it, just lead the way~" Jon waved his hand, impatiently.

"You...!" Yushiro was furious at Jon's attitude, but he couldn't say anything. He just snorted and continued leading the way.

Yushiro knocked on the door, and a cool female voice from inside said, "Come in."

Yushiro opened the door, with Jon standing behind him.

"I'm back," Yushiro announced.

Inside the room, lit by a soft light, Tamayo was sitting on a chair by the bed. She was wearing a white robe, with her purple kimono wrapped around her. In the room, another young girl was lying peacefully. It was the girl who had been turned into a demon by Muzan recently.

"Welcome back," Tamayo said warmly.

Jon entered the room and looked at the lying girl, casually asking, "How is she now?"

Tamayo looked back at the girl and said softly, "She's stable for now. I've used a calming drug on her. Muzan didn't inject much of his blood into her, but I'm not sure if she'll go berserk when she wakes up. If she does, we'll have to keep her in the basement."

There was a hint of apology in Tamayo's voice.

Jon thought for a moment, then walked towards the girl, saying, "The situation was urgent before, so I left her to you. But can I try something on her now?"

"Don't get close to Tamayo-san!"

Suddenly, Yushiro behind him exploded in anger, his fist flying towards Jon.

However, the next moment, Yushiro was stunned. He found that he had missed. It was as if in an instant, Jon had disappeared and reappeared somewhere else.

"Yushiro, stop!" Tamayo stood up and scolded, "Don't be rude to our guest!"

Hearing Tamayo's reprimand, Yushiro immediately lowered his head.

He also felt a chill. He had been ignoring a problem - Jon's strength. If Jon had the courage to challenge Muzan, his strength should not be underestimated. Although he had seen people who were overconfident despite their lack of strength, Jon was not one of them. His speed was beyond human reach. Even as a demon, Yushiro couldn't see his movements clearly.

Bab 95: Chapter 93: Burning Demon Blood

Tamayo turned her gaze back to Jon, then said, "Let me reintroduce myself."

"My name is Tamayo, and the boy is Yushiro. I was once a demon under Kibutsuji Muzan, but now, like you, my goal is to eliminate him."

"You don't need to worry. My body has undergone many modifications, and I've broken free from Kibutsuji's control."

Jon understood that Tamayo was saying this to alleviate his concerns about her and to prompt him to introduce himself.

So, Jon introduced himself, "I'm called Jotaro Kujo, formerly a gang enforcer. My master, Gusan, was killed by a demon. Later, by a twist of fate, I gained incredible power. Now, I'm dedicated to eliminating Muzan, to avenge my mastet."

In fact, Jon was too lazy to tell her his real name, otherwise, he would have to fabricate a story about how he came from the Central Plains to Tokyo. It was too troublesome, so he simply blurted out a random name, with a random goal.

Hearing Jon's words, Tamayo gave a somewhat helpless smile, then gently said, "About ninety percent of what you just said is made up, isn't it?"

Seeing that he was exposed on the spot, Jon shrugged and said, "It seems my lying skills need improvement."

Suddenly, Jon tilted his body and reached out to the side, catching Yushiro's fist that was about to attack.

"Yushiro, stop attacking our guest. Haven't you noticed he's been holding back against you?" Tamayo scolded.

However, Yushiro was panting, gritting his teeth and said, "Bbbut! Tamayo-san, maybe this guy is really strong, but I can't stand his attitude. You kindly invited him here, but he won't even be honest about his name!"

"I believe he must have his reasons." Tamayo said, looking at Jon.

Jon could only sigh and say, "Actually, there's nothing wrong with telling you. My name is Jon, I came from the Central Plains. But why I came to Tokyo and why I want to kill Muzan, I can't explain it to you, so I made up a name. Please forgive me."

"I see, but I'm surprised that you're not a member of the Demon Slayer Corps." Tamayo slowly said.

Jon was silent for a moment, then said, "That's right, as I told you before, my power was gained by chance. I didn't lie about that, but my power seems a bit... evil! So they might not accept it. Do you understand? Just like the Demon Slayer Corps wouldn't easily accept you as a demon."

"I see." Tamayo nodded, then turned to look at the girl on the bed and said, "Jon-san, you just said 'let me try', do you have a way to save that girl?"

Jon said, "I just have an idea, but I've never put it into practice. I can use a certain method to turn those who have just become demons, whose bodies haven't deeply absorbed Muzan's blood, and who haven't eaten humans, back into humans. But this method is currently just a concept, and it's very risky. If you don't mind, I can try to save this girl."

Tamayo was silent for a moment, then said, "For hundreds of years, I've been looking for a way to turn demons back into humans. I've tried to put some of my ideas into practice, but many people have died in the process. But even so, I won't give up, even if I have to bear all the sins. So... if you have an idea, go ahead and do it. If something goes wrong, it's because I asked you to do it. You don't need to feel any responsibility."

With Tamayo's permission, Jon walked to the bedside, then turned back to Tamayo with a smile, "By the way, Tamayo-san, I don't see any sins on you. Innocent!"

Tamayo was taken aback, she didn't understand what Jon meant by saying this, but she still gratefully said, "Thank youز"

Jon turned around and began to focus on the girl.

He closed his eyes and recited a few incantations, then opened his palm. A few strange flame runes slowly appeared in his palm, then those runes floated out of Jon's palm, into the air, and onto the girl's skin.

Tamayo was also shocked by this strange scene.

This was a spell that Jon had developed by analyzing the Darkhold and combining the magic within it with his Hellfire. Its function was to release Hellfire through this incantation, which couldn't harm ordinary people, but could burn the sinful parts within them. At least in theory.

He created this spell to avoid harming the innocent, but he had a sudden idea that it might also be used for healing.

According to the judgment of sin, although this girl had become a demon, she hadn't eaten a single person, so she was innocent. But the blood of Muzan injected into her was undoubtedly sinful. Therefore, if these runes were deeply embedded in the girl's body, they could burn the blood of Muzan in her body. But this method was very dangerous, after all, he couldn't guarantee to what extent Muzan's blood had infiltrated. If it had infiltrated too deeply, the girl might die in the process.

The flame runes on the girl's body slowly seeped into her skin. After a while, Jon suddenly closed his fingers.

In an instant, the girl opened her eyes and showed an extremely painful expression.

"Ahggggggggggggg—!"

The girl let out a painful scream. She felt as if her body was being burned, her internal organs were all being consumed by a ball of hellfire, causing her unbearable pain.

However, Jon had no intention of stopping. He had to burn all of Muzan's blood in her body in one go, otherwise, what he was doing would be meaningless.

Jon closed his eyes, carefully controlling the runes flowing into the girl's body, burning the blood in her body.

Yushiro couldn't stand this situation and wanted to step forward to stop it, but was stopped by Tamayo. Although Tamayo also found it hard to watch, she knew the significance of this.

After an unknown amount of time, the girl's voice gradually stopped, and she passed out. Jon also let out a sigh of relief, then recalled the runes in the girl's body back into his hand.

Then he looked at the girl and found that she still had a breath of life.

Even the usually calm Tamayo was a bit impatient at this moment. She hurriedly stepped forward and asked, "How is it?!"

"It worked!" Jon smiled.

Tamayo was immediately excited, then quickly walked to the bedside, looked at the sleeping girl, and said with relief, "That's great!"

Then she turned to look at Jon and said, "Thank you very much, Jon-san!"

Then, she remembered something and immediately turned to Jon and said, "By the way, Jon-san, although it's a bit presumptuous, there are some demons who haven't eaten humans locked up in the basement. I wonder if you..."

Jon shook his head and said, "My ability is limited. After twenty-four hours, if Muzan's blood has infiltrated vastly, this method probably won't work. So, the method of turning demons back into humans still depends on the medicine you're developing."
