Bab 129: Chapter 3: The Awakening of the Dead

The wind howled through the broken stone arches as James and his companions stepped cautiously through the crumbling entrance of the Dragon Kingdom. What had once been a majestic sanctuary for Dragonkin and their dragon allies was now little more than a ruin, overgrown with creeping vines and littered with the debris of a forgotten era. The dark clouds overhead seemed to press down on the group, casting long shadows across the ancient stone path that led deeper into the kingdom.

James could feel it, the pull in his blood. The moment they crossed the threshold, something deep within him stirred, as if the very land itself was calling out to him. He had sensed it during their journey here, but now, standing within the kingdom's ruins, the sensation was undeniable.

Pippy, ever the optimist, let out a low whistle as she walked beside him. "So, this is it, huh? The legendary Dragon Kingdom? Kinda gives me the creeps. I was expecting something a bit more… lively."
