Bab 78: 78. Desperate Attempt

Max looked around to make sure no one was there, then approached Zef.

He whispered, "I have the Riftflow Crystal. Now let me in; your master will really need it!"

When Zef hesitated, another figure approached them.

"Let him in, Zef," said the figure that appeared to be a woman.

Hearing Zef's companion, Max nodded in agreement.

"But Master explicitly instructed that no one is allowed to enter here, not even a fly."

"Oh my, could you be more flexible when receiving orders? Don't interpret everything so literally. Despite his appearance, this man is the master's friend. If, suppose Madam were here, would you also forbid her entry?" Seeing Zef opening his mouth, the woman continued, "Don't answer. I already know your answer."

Max continued nodding until he eventually realized something was wrong with the woman's statement.

Then, the woman turned to Max. "Go in. If you're bringing that artifact, it will surely help the Master a lot."
