“162 Tan!” Lin shouted from behind. “Boo! You dumdum… You rich evil men don’t interest me at all!” She stuck out her tongue at Rian as she let Tan know his level with a high-level item. She guessed that Rian showed up later because he was doing the same thing.
Rian glanced at Lin briefly with displeasure, but he did not lose focus. They were seconds away from the beginning of the match. Tan was contemplating which skill to activate first and imagining the first seven cards he would draw.
Once Tan heard Rian’s level, he knew he could just forget about Lifeline skill because the risk was too high for many reasons. Rian’s HP must have been higher than his since he was a knight. Plus, he had seen Blanche use a skill that made attacks more likely to miss, and some cards could completely shield attacks. So, the skill should absolutely not be used in this battle.
