Bab 55: I Noticed a Mark on Your Body

As Jordan insisted on carrying me in his arms, I felt my fear dissipate and I began to relax. Ever since Jordan caused me to cry, I had become more vulnerable to fear and emotions, unlike before when nothing could frighten me or made me cry.

In the safety of Jordan's strong embrace, I felt as light as a feather. His confident stride demonstrated that he didn't even notice the weight of my body in his arms.

"Do you still feel scared?" Jordan asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"No," I replied, shaking my head, although I couldn't shake off the occasional suspicion that he was leading me towards the dense and sinister forest where danger awaited.

We arrived at a small clearing and came to a stop. Jordan gently lowered me down from his back and set his bag on the ground. As I surveyed the haunting forest, filled with the eerie hoots of owls, Jordan spoke up.
