Bab 26: The Television Show

I abruptly ended the call with Jenna without giving her a response. I needed to talk to Mrs. Haverford before I made my decision. As I gradually lowered my hand from my ear to place the phone on the table, it immediately started ringing again - Jenna calling once more.

I turned my head and locked eyes with Mrs. Haverford who stood at the entrance. With determined strides, she approached me. She took a napkin and began to gently wipe away the tear stains on my face.

At that moment, I began to view her as a motherly figure, feeling a sense of comfort as she attended to me.

"Thalia, Orion... Jordan loves you wholeheartedly," Mrs. Haverford assured me.

"But I feel useless to him," I whimpered, turning away and making my way toward the closet. Mrs. Haverford followed closely behind.

"You are not useless in Jordan's life."

"I'm so insignificant!"

"That title belongs to Kayla," Mrs. Haverford stated firmly.
