Bab 106: Chapter 106: Tsukimi interested in Sakumo's wife!
Sakumo had just finished his mission from the frontlines and was in a hurry to meet the kids to see if they were being bullied in the barracks or not.
Jealousy was a common root cause of bullying among ninjas. Although they would not be as rash as to act under the supervision of the superior ninjas, who knows what could happen.
He looked for them everywhere but could not find them in their allotted tents. He went around and asked about their whereabouts.
After some time of asking around, he found nothing. The only place left was where Tsunade was.
He knew that they lived in the same compound as the Senju clan's princess and were familiar with her. So, picking up his speed, he arrived at the medical unit of the army.
He was surprised to see the ninjas working hard on their training and did not disturb them, as he had already sensed the familiar chakra signature, which, unknown to him, Tsukimi deliberately let him know.
After entering the tent where he sensed the boy, his gaze landed on the trio.
"You are really here! I had to look for you all over the military barracks…"
"Teacher, take us to meet your wife when the war is over!"
He just came here to talk to them, and the first thing the boy said was to take him to meet his wife?!
"What are you talking about, brat?"
Sakumo asked with an annoyed look on his face. He walked towards Tsukimi while looking at him with a narrowed gaze. He didn't think the boy had ulterior motives, thinking, *What can an 11-year-old boy like him do?*
"I just want to thank her for her care and the trouble she has been through for us."
Hearing Tsukimi's reply, a gentle smile appeared on Sakumo's face. He looked at the boy and ruffled his hair with his hand.
Had it been someone else, their hand would have flown through the air before they could touch him, but since it was Sakumo, Tsukimi allowed him to show his affection.
"Sure! I will take you to visit my beautiful and lovely wife!"
Sakumo replied with a proud expression, the grin on his face showing how proud he was to have the woman as his wife.
*She must be quite extraordinary for him to make that face,* the girls thought as they looked at the lovestruck face of the man.
"Teacher, is your wife also a ninja?" Matatabi asked with a curious tone, but her question made Sakumo's smile disappear. He smiled slightly, but there was a hint of sadness in it that they could easily see.
She now cursed herself for asking something she shouldn't have.
"She is a normal person. She has been weak since childhood. Although her body looks normal, she cannot handle too much work," he replied with a smile.
"Even after all of this, she is a strong woman. She has supported me all this time without any complaints."
As he spoke, his sadness disappeared, replaced by a hint of gratitude and love for the woman.
"You are lucky to have a woman like that."
Tsukimi's words brought a smile to Sakumo's face, and he tried to tease the boy.
"Of course I am, but you seem to be twice as lucky as me! Not only one, you have two fiancées."
"I never said I wasn't lucky. To be able to have them is all I could ask for in life."
Tsukimi cast his loving gaze at his wives, who also smiled back warmly at him. Seeing the warm atmosphere, Sakumo sighed as he remembered what he came for.
His eyes lost the playfulness, and a look of seriousness appeared. He glanced at the sleeping woman on the bed for a while before turning to Tsukimi.
"What happened to her?"
"Chakra exhaustion! She worked really hard."
Hearing the short explanation, Sakumo nodded. While arriving, he saw the state the patients on the bed were in. He could easily deduce what had happened with just a few glances.
He was really impressed that the little girl who used to chase after everyone in the village, bullying them, had turned into such a responsible woman.
"What happened, Sensei?"
Sakumo sighed and began explaining the information he had come across while scouting.
"We might be attacked in a few days. I want you guys to be prepared for everything. Since Tsunade has found a cure for the poison, we might survive easily, but I have a feeling that this attack might not be so simple."
After Sakumo's words reached the three tailed beasts, they just looked at each other before looking back at him.
"How did you get the information?"
"The scouts from Sunagakure village are being called back. Their movements wouldn't have been sensed by me if I weren't so sensitive to chakra traces."
"Don't worry too much about us. If you really feel that worried, why not teach us some new jutsu? Something like a lightning release would be best!"
Tsukimi suggested with a smirk behind his mask. Sakumo's lips twitched after hearing his student's shameless words.
He wondered if all Jonin instructors had students like this or if he was just unlucky. Clicking his tongue, Sakumo pulled out a scroll from his leg pocket.
He passed the scroll to the boy and turned to leave the room.
"Learn as much as you can in these two days. I know you won't need my help, but if you don't understand anything, look for me."
Leaving those words behind, Sakumo disappeared from the place.
