Going to school
- Location: Japan, at a certain police station
[POV. Alice/Jihye]
Five years passed.
It had been two years since I gained consciousness. For some reason, I had another set of blurry memories at the back of my head. I did not act as a kid my age should. From what I remembered, my name was Alice in my previous life.
But now my name is Jihye, and I even have a family name, Kurosawa. Anyways, I am in another world, a world with superpowers, filled with heroes and villains. It's really quite chaotic here.
People in this world usually get their powers, or as they call them, "quirks," by the time they turn four. But I don't seem to have any. When Kei took me to a quirk doctor, the doctor said something about my pinky toes and how I should have a quirk by now.
Oh yeah, I have to tell you about Kei. He is my father, and he is really kind and caring, although he tends to blabber a lot sometimes. He is an amazing father.
He works as a detective at this station. His name is Kurosawa Kei, and he has been taking care of me for as long as I can remember. But on most days, I usually get left in daycare until the afternoon, where I wait at his office until he gets back.
"Jihye! I bought a bunch of chocolate croissants for everyone in the station. Want some?" A young officer approached me, and I recognized him. This is Officer Takebayashi, and he does this from time to time to cheer everyone up in the station during stressful times.
I used hand signs to say 'no, I'm good.' "Don't worry, your dad will be here in a minute. He has been quite busy with this new case, but it was resolved today, so he should be back soon," he said as he sat down next to me.
'I know,' I said as my hands moved. "Jihye! Come here!" Kei said as he squatted down for a hug. Kei was a pretty tall person, being 6.4 feet in Japan; he is quite the spectacle.
I ran up to him for a hug. 'Can we go home now?' I said with my hand signs. "Of course, go wait near the car. I have to do something here first," he said with a smile as he pointed at the binder in his hand.
I nodded as I walked out of the station.

POV: Third-Person
Outside the station, a kid with black hair can be seen waiting at a nearby car. "But dad! I said I wanted a pink one!" A voice was heard across the street as a little girl with blonde hair was walking with a man wearing a fancy set of clothes.
"Honey, they didn't have one that's pink. I'll tell you what, as soon as we get home, I'll tell Alfredo to speak with the company that makes those hair clips," the man said with a smile as an expensive-looking car stopped near them.
"Let's go home for now," the man smiled as he held his daughter's hand. "Fine, but I want the pink one tomorrow," she said, stomping her feet as she went inside the car.
"Ready to go?" Jihye heard Kei's voice as she looked away from the other girl across the street. She nodded to Kei as they got inside the car, heading towards their home.

POV: Jihye
Another year passed, and now I am 6 years old. "Are you ready, Jihye?" Kei asked as he opened the car door for me.
"Okay.. okay.. okay.. OKAY! Don't be nervous!! This school might be prestigious, and normally, people like us would never even step foot on such a place, but-" He stopped as I kicked his shin.
"Ouch! Why'd you do that for?" Kei asked in confusion. 'Calm down, it's not like you are the one going to school there,' I said in sign language. "Ahh.. Right.. my bad, I got carried away again," He said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I'm just so proud of you!! You actually managed to pass the exam for this place," Kei said with a prideful smile.
"Can you imagine?! How much bragging rights I would have against everyone at the station when I tell them MY daughter got into the best grade school in the coun-" Before he could go on, I kicked him in the shin again.
"AW! Again?!" he exclaimed as he pretended to jump while holding his leg. 'You're embarrassing me!' I said with an embarrassed expression. "Okay okay fine," He said with a smile as he looked at the gate.
"Well.. go on! The teachers will guide you," He said as he urged me to go, but before I took a step, I hugged him – or to be precise, his legs because of how tall he is – but only for a second before I ran towards the gate.
He only smiled and waved at me as I stepped into the gate.
