Raynor smirked as he looked at his fellow competitors for the position of Student Council President.
Unlike the other guys who looked 'normal'.
As in, no fancy shoulder band or pins with their name, nothing! Their preparation is minimal! Unlike him, who had a blue pin which said 'Vote for Raynor' with bolts of lightning.
It's a nice touch towards his authorities; sadly, only his girls know why he took lightning as his symbol.
Others think it just looks 'cool' and it's 'explosive'.
Today was the day of what people would call 'debate day'. Well, in politics, people would discuss with other party members and answer questions from the public. But in this school, it was simply to see how good the future council president would take to stand in front of the crowd and give a speech.
So far, it was a very similar speech, 'proud to compete in this race', the whole 'not to let you down', and other stuff related to events.
Eventually, it was time for Raynor, who, with a grin, went on the stage.
~~~
"Damn, does he think he is running for President instead of Council President?" Some of the upper-level students started whispering among themselves.
They couldn't believe someone would prepare pins, banners and other things for a mere Council Student President position!
For regular students, this position is nothing more than glorified free labour.
Sure, you will have an extra paper when you graduate and a slightly better chance to get a job, but that's about it.
So, to see this guy trying so hard is absurd! Why waste money on this!? No one is going to pay him back! Hell! They doubt anyone will even say, 'Good job with prep work!'
Simply absurd!
But others, like the ones who are all about conspiracy theories, are having a field day with this!
This foreign is running for Student Council President. Can he change something? Will he use his enormous influence over the government to change the curriculums?
Things like that were going wild around these dreamers and conspiracy theorists.
~~~
'Damn, Valeron is seriously trying to win this thing. Knowing his main character's aura, he will likely win the whole thing.'
Hikigaya Hackiman, with a sweaty forehead, looked at Raynor, who confidently stepped on the stage. His posture screamed, 'I know what I am doing'.
"Hiki, what do you think he is doing?" Yui Yuigahama whispered her question as she was looking at this as well.
"He is about to start the next arc of the plot. The plot progresses through the midpoint."
"...Midpoint? What could the end plot be?" The 'nice girl' asked with a confused look.
"Taking over the school?" He shrugged without care.
"Hah? Why does he even want that?" She asked with confusion.
"Personal taste, Proving something? You should read some of the wacky school mangas you can find. Like this Korean one, where girls all learn to fight, the main character used to be a car wash guy, or this other one, where the main character is like the reincarnation of Sun Wukong."
The more he talked, the more confused she was.
"...Okay, I'm not going to ask for his reasons; he is just doing it because he can, right?" Yui just sighed in resignation.
"Pretty much." Hikigaya shrugged before turning his attention to listen to the speech.
~~~
"You all have heard the speeches from previous candidates. They were similar, so I will try to be original.
My goal as Student Council President is to bring in action! Better and bigger events! More choices in the cafeteria, more trips! More variety in trips!
Depending on the circumstances, maybe change the curriculums!"
Raynor, by this point, threw over the scrip he had and started going by instinct, which is better than any scrip.
~~~
"...Did he just throw your script?" Yukino, who saw Raynor just casually throwing away the sheet of paper, exclaimed with some concern. She is afraid he could derail and embarrass himself.
"...Yeah, well, it doesn't matter," Utaha shrugged without care.
"You should trust Godslayer's intuition; it's what allows them to kill Heretic Gods. It shouldn't be a challenge to give a speech." Erica explained with crossed arms.
'Well, I guess I should prepare to be his vice president. I won't accept less!' The blonde knight smirked while thinking about that.
"...Fighting and speaking are two different things!"
"Not when you have the divinity of a God flowing through you. You forget that to use an Authority, a Godslayer needs to chant.
Where do you think the idea of what to say is coming from?
It comes to him naturally. He says what he feels. By this point, he can describe things better than any writer."
"...Fine…"

After giving his speech, the students gathered to vote. There are a bunch of ballot boxes ready where they need to pick a person for the position.
The process is going to take a while, so after voting, everyone is returning to their classes.
His girls all voted for him; that was without question. Hell, every one from his class voted for him because he was from their class.
It's a biassed view, 'patriotism' of a class. But it helps Raynor to run for Student Council President.
"You know. I still can't believe you are doing this." A flaxen girl from lower year walked over to their side. This girl was Iroha, who was the manager of the football team.
She is one of those 'Nice Girls' with a foxy personality. They would act friendly when needed.
"Consider this a nice experience to add to the resume." Raynor casually shrugged while smiling at her.
"...Yeah, you can have those; I will pass them to you, senpai~."
She then looked at his harem, who looked at their boyfriend strangely.
Iroha doesn't understand, but his girls are resigned to his idea of 'experiences'.
"Cheers, such great underclassmen." He patted her head as if he was treating a cute dog for behaving nicely.
She realised that and started to blush because of that!
"Senpai! I am not a dog!" The girl tried to remove his hand, but he was way too slippery as if knowing how she would try to do that!
"Then you should stop emitting such aura; people will get the wrong idea." He smiled at her with a knowing look.
His words made her self-aware as she looked at him with realisation.
"I-I understand. I will keep that in mind. Can you remove your hand, please?"
"Of course."
After that, the girl retreats to regroup.
"How cute is that?"
"I don't know your definition of cute." Yumiko, who had a 'rivalry' with Iroha before, deadpanned at him.
"Her acting, I mean."
"That's our Lord's Authority. His Court, as Zeus is the God of Justice and Acting, can see through subtle acting, which, in this case, he saw through her airheadedness." Liliana said that as she pulled out her notebook and started writing in it.
She uses this scene in her book, only changing a few things.
"...Interesting… so she was acting."
"An essential act. Nothing impressive; being Airhead makes people lower their guards for her to exploit." Erica said with a casual shrug as she returned to think about her Vice President's 'duties'. Maybe she should be a Secretary?
That way, she could sit on his lap and flirt away with those tedious hours.
Something for her to think about!
~~~
After classes ended, Hiratsuka brought in the voting results.
"Now for the poll results." She proceeded to look at the paper which was given to her by another teacher.
"...Right…" She didn't look that happy when she saw the paper.
"The New Student Council President, with over half of everyone's votes, is Raynor Valeron. Congratulations." The last part came entirely mechanical from her mouth.
She doesn't want craziness, but it's coming to her either way!
So what can she do? Nothing, all she can do is just roll with it.
As she was thinking about it, the rest started clapping when they heard that.
While Raynor, in question, smiled and nodded to himself.
He was closer to that 'Illuminati' tier of power! Now he needs to make that secret society!
'Wait! Don't other Godslayers have their factions? Like that British King? Isn't the organisation called Arsenal or something? And then the Chinese King, she has a Sect ripped from cultivation novel.'
As the clapping stopped, he continued with his pondering.
"You can inspect your new 'office' anytime you want. We can send all the pilled work in your direction." The teacher tried to scare him, but the New Student Council President simply smiled at her.
"Sure, let's roll!"
As he said that, his girls followed him.
His homeroom teacher simply sighed, seeing that.
'Why can't my students be normal kids?'
As Raynor entered the room, it looked slightly more spacious than the Service club.
That's because the Service club room was a class that turned into a storage room. While the Council President is a legitimate 'club' size. It has tables in the middle of the room in the shape of an upside 'U'.
"Council President."
The current council greets the Storm King.
"Umm, I know this is strange, but seeing that you have your 'court'." The nerdy teen with glasses pointed at the girls. He even cringed when he saw Yumiko staring at him as if he was a bug.
"We would like to get out of your way by resigning." The rest nodded to his words.
Raynor's group allowed them to exist.
Just like that, the entire council resigned.
"...This is a great thing. I wouldn't need to nag these nerds to leave." Erica nodded happily.
"...Are you serious! We don't even know how to run the place!" While Yukino looked shocked by their decision to leave!
"Relax, it's not like we are running a Conglomerate." The blonde knight rolled her eyes at Yukino's reaction.
"True! But still! We will be wasting time trying to figure out things!" The black-haired girl complained about the situation.
"Don't worry. We will get the hang of it in no time!"
As the group entered the room, they started to explore. They realised that there was nothing there.
There were no shelves, drawers, or posters; it was a barren room.
His girls spread out through the room to see if anything was there!
"I think they lied to you. There is nothing here, even in Ena's Miko school; the council room had a nice view with an extra room." Ena said from the side as she looked through the window.
"Well, look at the bright side, we can bring the extras from the Service Club." Erica tried to lighten up the mood.
"Hey! You can't just…" Midway, Yukino stopped as she massaged her forehead. She realised that she needed to disband her club. With new roles in the Student Council, she won't have time for that!
"Can't what?"
"...Nothing, I realised I will need to disband the club." The girl said with a complex look.
"Hmm, I don't know. Knowing our Lord, he might do both." Erica shrugged without much thought. Raynor is weird that way.
"True. The Student Council does help students and organise events."
"Exactly. Our Lord might do much more than that. He could potentially edge towards governing the school itself."
The blonde knight said with a knowing look.
"You think he will do that?"
"Try reading those mangas and come up with your own decision." There was a knowing smile on her lips.
"...Ugh…"
Did the fantasies of her people ruin her country? Is she about to witness the birth of something crazy?
Only time will tell.
"Well, this is a bummer; the first thing on our agenda is customising our Council Room! Then we can start plotting the takeover— I mean, return to normal work."
"..."
"..."
"..."
'He is following a manga plot! Damn it!'
Yukino's sweat dropped, hearing him talk with such an excited tone! Those resignations of old members and the empty room didn't stop that hype!
