Bab 51: Bringing Home the Queen Bee
The club hours are over; everyone is walking home; even Yumiko follows them as the Storm King wants to show his place to his newest girl.
"Are you sure about it?" Yukino asked Raynor while messaging her forehead.
"Of course! We shall take over the student council! We need to start somewhere! Once we rule the school, we can take over the nation!" The Godslayer said that while clenching his fist.
He was getting into his role as the ambitious candidate for the position of Council President.
"...You can't be serious! You do realise that you are going to have to organise things! Like sports, culture and seasonal events!" The black-haired girl pushed some more as she explained how serious this was!
"Sweetheart! I have you, Yumiko, and my knights. We can run the whole district if need be!"
"Ugh…"
The Ice Queen realised that it was pointless to dissuade him.
'Fine then! Let's see how quickly he will lose interest in running the council!' The girl clenched her fist, copying how Raynor did. Only her resolve was in a different direction. She can't wait to rub her finger in his face when he loses interest in running the council!
The girl continued in different ways to persuade him to drop the whole idea. The blonde Queen Bee behind them looked at their interaction with interest. Yumiko tried to understand more of his character.
In a sense, she found it amusing as he could extremely easily break Yukino's temper.
It's amusing seeing such a professional 'Queen' throwing temper tantrums for him acting non-professional.
But the moment he wants to hug the girl, she caves in seconds.
'So much for the Ice Cold Queen.' Yumiko internally snorted, remembering Ebina and Yui talking about Yukino for the first time a year ago.
Compared to what she heard at that time, the difference is enormous.
Eventually, they returned to Raynor's house.
"...Whoa…are those…"
The Queen Bee noticed the parked supercars!
"...those number plates… They are Italian!?"
"Yep, they were acquired when we were in Italy." The Godslayer puffed his chest; he was proud of his lap time in the Ferrari testing circuit.
"Your choice of wording tells me it wasn't a normal acquisition…"
"He wanted specific cars, so he took them," Erica said with a lazy shrug.
"...Right… Godslaying status."
"Yep."
"Anyway! Let me show you, Tom!"
"...Tom?"
"Tom the Tiger!" The Storm King casually mentioned how he owns a tiger.
"...I don't even want to know…" The blonde Queen Bee didn't want to get into the details of his naming sense and how he owns a tiger in Tokyo.
"But you will know!" He grabbed her and casually pulled into his house.
Eventually, she saw the cute cub lazily lying on a couch with a rubber ball in his mouth.
'Wow…so cute…'
Yumiko and Yukino thought at the same time.
The black-haired girl forgot about Raynor's 'ambitions' and instead focused on the 'cat' of their house. She gently picked up the predator and stroked his fur.
"I still oppose his name!" Yukino said with a cute pout.
The Godslayer shrugged at her.
"Tom from Tom and Jerry is good enough."
"...He is a cartoon character! A character who always loses!" His girlfriend argued with him.
"...Yep, if you have a better character name, then I am all ears." He shrugged at her once again.
"...Why character name!? You are Storm King! A Godslayer, name him Storm! Easy!" The black-haired girlfriend of his made his tiger move his pawn and waived at Storm King.
"..."
"..."
"You know what? It sounds good. Storm the Tiger. Gives that feeling of strength."
"I know, right?" Yukino was feeling proud that she was able to persuade him like that!
Erica, Liliana and Ena looked quite shocked to see that. The reason is that their organisations told them never to question Godslayer and their choices.
But what they just saw proves that they can change their opinions!
'Impressive, as long as we are on the same page, we could potentially persuade them. Good to know!' Erica pulled out her small notebook and wrote down this small detail.
"Anyway, Yumiko, did you notice that cats love you?"
"...Yeah, it freaked the hell out of me when I passed a pet store, and all the cats bowed before me." The green-eyed girl grimaced while she said that. She remembered that she needed to pretend she had no idea what was happening. Both Yui and Ebina looked slightly suspicious of Yumiko's panicked denial.
"Yeah, that's because of a tribal god I killed in India. It was a tiger and lion mix of a creature. Now, I can turn felines into familiars or turn myself into a massive tiger." He said that while stroking the tiger's fur in Yukino's hands.
"...I see… so that's what it is?"
"Yep, minor side effects impact all felines, same with Athena's snake authority; you can control snakes as well."
"...good to know."
The girl ignored the snake's part. Nope, she is staying away from that!
"Great! Since I told you about these little things, we can move upstairs; I still need to show my room." He took Yumiko's hand as he proceeded to take her upstairs.
The blonde usually would blush that a guy was taking her to his room. But, in this case, she simply sighed. This moment has been coming to her for a while now.
She understood the trend; it happened to Yukino a while ago, but now the Ice Queen lives there. Same with other girls. They all moved to his place.
It only proved her suspicion when she saw the guy's room. He had a large bed. Three people could fit in it.
Apart from that, it was NOT a boy-boy room! Sure, it had guys' stuff all over the place, but there were many female things, too!
Such revelation means females live here as well.
"...so…such a large bed?"
"Heh? Is Yumiko already thinking of testing it out?" Raynor teased her as he leaned forward and brushed his finger on her cheek.
"N-Not that!" Her gaze snapped to the side as she looked away with embarrassment.
"What I mean is that your girls are living with you the whole time!"
"Yep! I usually sleep hugging two of them the whole time~." He rapidly confirmed her suspicion, which made her blush intensify.
She can't believe something like that is happening! The guy is like sixteen or seventeen; she hadn't confirmed it, but he already is living and sleeping with his girls the whole time.
The whole 'Godslayer' thing is still settling in. Queen Bee hasn't fully realised all the repercussions of what it means.
"...I see… does this mean you want me to move in too?" She asked after processing all of that.
"Of course~"
He swapped her off her feet and ended up laying her on his bed. He looked at her lying on the bed. Panic was in her eyes as she looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
"W-Wait a second!"
"Hmm?"
"W-We shouldn't do anything yet!" She spoke in a mosquito-like voice; he could only hear her thanks to his supernatural hearing.
"Oh? Do you think I will do something to my Yumiko?" He teased her some more. He leaned forward and gently kissed her forehead.
Once he had done that, he pulled back and sat beside her.
It took several moments, but the girl realised he was teasing her to the extreme and making her brain 'malfunction'.
"...You are—-one annoying guy!" She exclaimed with mock anger. Internally, she wanted to bury her head in the sand and never look at the world again! It was embarrassing; the guy was toying with her emotions. It was more like he knew what she was thinking, so he would pull her strings and let it go!
"...Does that stupid authority allow you to sense what I am feeling?" She asked with a slight pout.
"Hmm? I don't think so. I think it's Zeus' natural affinity towards females.
It makes it, in a sense, a natural feeling that I need to do."
Yumiko grimaced when she heard that. This guy— the blonde realised that he had trapped her in a web of some sort! And he would take his time to do whatever he wanted with her. In the process, she will like it and become what Yukino has become.
"...Ugh…"
"Come now! Let's plot my ascension to Council President!" He pulled her into his lap and proceeded to snuggle.
The girl rolled her eyes; his idea for Council President was ridiculous.
"You realise that is a bunch of free work you must do!?" She complained to him.
"It is. But at the same time, you need to remember who I am. As far as I know, some of my 'step-brothers' have their factions. Oh, and my older 'step-sister', I think she has a martial sect or something.
I can't allow myself to fall back."
The guy said with such a severe tone, making her sigh in resignation.
Yep, there is no point in trying to change his mind. If he wants to work for free, it's okay with Queen Bee. Well, she will try to do something about it. No doubt she will have to join him in some shape or form.
A couple of minutes later, his girls entered his room. They have already changed into casual clothes.
"Since you will be trying to run for the Council President position, you must delay your work on that game thing you were planning." Yukino proceeded to speak as she was acting as his secretary or manager. The girl even had reading glasses on, looking more serious than ever.
"I guess… I should become Council President first, and then we can return to the game. This way, I could enlist everyone's help."
Raynor said that, stroking his chin while his other hand was playing with Yumiko's hair, more specifically, her cute blond drills.
"...Ugh… that's what a dictator would say; you are planning for elections for Council President, not dictator."
"Semantics, Yukino," Raynor argued with an eye roll.
"...Ugh…"
"We still need to fill up the form, prepare a speech, and what you will promise as Council President." For now, the black-haired girl ignored his comments and focused on the task ahead.
"That's obvious, Yukino-chan; we will promise everything. All the politicians around the world do that all the time. Just look at the US…" Raynor said with a straight face. It's like, 'Duh!' What else is there to say?
"Ugh…" On one side, Raynor's comment pissed her off; on the other side, he was right. She has no energy to be annoyed if he wants to use actual life political manipulation.
"...I still think this is bothersome," Yumiko spoke from Raynor's side. She was somewhat enjoying his casual attention. But she still wanted to show that she had her opinion.
"I think it's great. We will have more excuses to leave classes. Not that it means much." Erica spoke from the side as she was amused by how Raynor teased the 'very serious' Yukino.
"Wait! That's great! Does this mean we can leave classes early!?" The Queen Bee finally realised that they could do that!
The rest just looked at her as if she was silly.
"...You do realise that we are attending school because our King wants to play 'student'?" Liliana explained as she realised that no one will.
"...Now that you mentioned…"
Reality has finally caught up with the blonde. Yumiko realised that something which was always part of her routine was not necessary!
From there on— a domino effect started. The blonde realised an array of things were not needed! Her education, work, everything!
Her eyes widened as she realised how everything changed from that simple kiss she got while sitting on his lap!
"...Wow…"
The blonde mumbled to herself as an avalanche of emotions washed her over, settling on anxiety. The Queen Bee had no idea what would happen next!
Was it anxiety and some sort of giddiness?
