Bab 104: Chapter 104
"Oh, one more thing…. Luke told me that I am supposed to be your kids' Godfather. I don't know how and what to do but I promise to do my best.", he said, sweet, nectar-like lies flowing off of his mouth like it was nothing.
He felt her nod and sighed in relief, 'Finally… the first step is complete… now I need to learn a bunch of stuff and write some books…. Truths mixed with lies is probably the best… I'll have to think of Lucio's development too… he hated me but why… Oh well, there's still time so I'll ask the future version or find out on my own.'
Time passed and Nyeta seemed to have been done with the mourning phase. The kids who had never seen their father had readily accepted Alex as their Godfather since he had been pretty kind to them the past few days. They were still infants so it was not like they even knew what a godfather meant.
It had been five days since he had spent time with the twins and the two women. The kids played with Toffy while Alex, Nyeta, and Helen sat down on conjured chairs.
"All right… listen. This place is too small for all of you to live in and it isn't safe either. I will give you money so you can get a house where all of you can live peacefully. I'll visit you guys every time I have a vacation at school.
Also, Helen. I want you to adopt me. It's just for documentation purposes. You're a princess so when I am registered as your child, I can freely make transactions. Although there are limits, it is doable."
Helen nodded and Alex smiled, "Great! I'll give you the money tomorrow and you can start searching once I go back to Hogwarts. We can do the adoption thing when I come back here for the end-of-the-year holidays."
Both of them nodded and Alex grinned, looking at Nyeta, "I'll have to call you sister after a few months hehe. Sister Nyeta~"
Nyeta simply turned away to look at her kids instead of responding to him. He had been trying his best to cheer her up and gain her trust in the past few days and had come to the conclusion that teasing worked pretty well and decided to do it even if knew nothing about it.
'As long as she shows some kind of reaction…. Cheering people up is quite hard when you know almost nothing about them.'
He stood up and walked over to Toffy, "Let's go out. We have things to do."
"Yes master.", Toffy said as he picked up the infants and gave them to their mother before putting on his stealth suit and holding Alex's hand.
"Master, it would be better if you learned how to apparate soon. It will make things easier for both you and me."
"Got it. I'll learn when I have the time. It's just, there are much more important things to do."
Toffy nodded and apparated away to a dark alley. Alex took out a bottle of pills and ate one before waiting for a minute. His face warped up and became a lot more handsome. He then grew two more feet before stopping.
He sighed as he tapped his robes with his wand and muttered an incantation, making them grow enough to fit his size.
He crouched a bit and pulled at his underwear, 'Oof… that kinda hurt. I'll have to enlarge my clothes before transforming into someone tall or huge next time. Yikes.'
He nodded at Toffy and took out a few wooden planks from his bracelet. With a wave of his wand, the planks attached themselves to the others before being transfigured into a box with beautiful and intricate carvings.
With an inner volume of 50 x 30 x 30, Alex speculated that it was enough to hold enough money for him.
'Time to fill it up then….'
Loads of coins dropped down from the ring into the large wooden box as they piled up, exceeding the maximum height of the box.
With a slight flick of Alex's wand, the coins flew out and fell back into the box. This time arranged neatly in rows and columns. Alex added a few more coins until the whole box was full.
"Come in when I call you.", he said as he left the box with Toffy and walked out of the alley, and blended into the crowded streets.
A few minutes later, he stood in front of a small shop filled with broken toys and board games. After looking around for a while, he entered the store. A young girl around his age sat on a moldy wooden chair. She looked up at him when he entered and stood up straight as a wide smile bloomed on her face.
She cupped her cheeks like she didn't want him to see something but Alex ignored her weird behavior.
"I'm here to buy some property. Could you please show me the way, little lady?"
"Yes!", she exclaimed as she jumped off of her chair and ran to lock the door. She led him to the back room and picked up a rusty large key that was as big as her arm.
She then walked to the large bookshelf and pulled out a few books before rearranging them efficiently like she had done a few hundred times. When she was done with it, the shelf slid into the wall like the wall didn't even exist, revealing a large keyhole.
She pushed the key into the hole and turned it clockwise, making the wall vibrate for a second before he slid into the floor, revealing a large pathway.
The girl looked up at him with a wide grin, "P- please follow me. You can hold my hand if you're scared."
"…. No thank you."
The girl's smile faded as she turned back to face the pathway she covered her face with her frail hand before smacking herself. She took a deep breath and walked forward while Alex followed behind her quietly.
