Back at home, Alex stared at Isis expressionlessly while droplets of sweat trickled down her face.
"You lied to me, Isis."
"I just wanted to go out… and aunt looked like she was about to lose her mind so… I just…"
"You just lied huh. I'll let you off this time but if something like this happens again, I'll make sure you have a roof on top of your head for your whole lives, except, you won't be able to leave. Tch, I'm going to sleep. Toffy, pack everything that I will need for school."
He said and plopped himself onto the bed and slowly drifted off to sleep while Isis and Helen glanced at each other before sighing softly.

Alex woke up early the next day and saw that all of the things he required were packed into an Aluminium trunk neatly. He freshened up and headed straight to the Olivanders.
He wanted to get the perfect wand that suited him from Olivanders wand collection before he made one himself. Olivander gave him more than a hundred wands to try, which annoyed Alex quite a bit as he just wanted to get a wand before heading off to Kings Cross.
He felt fortunate as he had expected it to take a bit of time and went in early, but even then, it was taking a bit too long.
After almost two hours of trying out different wands, Olivander settled on one final wand. Even Alex felt like there was almost no blockages when he channelled his magic through the wand.
"Mildly flexible… thirteen inches. A dragon heartstring core and the wand wood being yew. A pretty powerful combination, I'd say." Alex said as he spun the wand around his fingers.
"Looks like you know a bit about the mysteries of wand selections. Could you tell me your name, please?"
"Alex. I just read a few books here and there. Nothing enough to beat your experience and research. Anyways, I'll have to catch the train and I'm almost late. Have a nice day."
Alex then placed a small leather pouch on the counter before leaving the shop and rushed back home. After making sure that he had everything, he got Toffy to apparate him directly in platform nine and three quarters.
The platform wasn't too crowned yet as he was a bit early. In fact, even the train wasn't there. Alex stood with his back against the wall as he waited silently while reading a random book on blood magic.
Time passed by quickly and Hogwarts express arrived, prompting Alex to get inside.
He selected a random compartment as most of them looked the same and settled down inside. A large bowl of vanilla ice cream and another bowl of cookies appeared on the table after he tapped on it twice.
After finding the perfect position to sit comfortably, he continued reading while he held the book in his left hand and ate with his right. Fifteen minutes passed peacefully until someone opened the compartment door.
A slight glance was enough to know who the short girl was. Long sea shell necklace hung around her neck while her wand was tucked behind her ear. She looked at Alex for a whole ten seconds with a blank look before walking in.
Alex didn't mind the harmless creature that sat opposite to him after she put her trunk away. She then took out a copy of the Quibbler and began reading.
He didn't know what, but something made him stare at her while he ignored the book and food. A few minutes passed by and the girl's free hand reached out to the bowl of cookies.
She took three, holding one between two of her fingers except the thumb. She tossed the first cookie into her mouth and chewed, ignoring the guy with dark circles sitting in front of her.
It was only when she bit down on her third cookie that Alex was kicked out of his reverie.
"Don't you think that asking before you take something from someone is basic manners?", Alex asked. He wasn't really annoyed nor angry. It was mere curiosity as the knowledge he had received from the angel didn't really show much about her.
"We are school mates, aren't we?" She asked as she tilted her head sideways while Alex nodded.
"Shouldn't we share then?"
Her logic was something foreign to Alex who was isolated from the world for almost a year before acting out the sin of greed for good points.
To him, sharing was something that involved give and take equally but the concept of the dirty-blond haired girl in front of him seemed to be a bit different.
"Do what you want… my name is Alex. Second year."
"My name is Luna Lovegood. My father works for the Quibbler."
Alex nodded before going back to his book. Her words had confirmed his hypothesis as there was only one girl who was described as quirky and weird with her own sense of justice. The same girl also tucked her wand behind her ears.
Luna made herself comfortable before mimicking Alex's posture. She used the closed window as a support for her back and put her legs on the empty seat. Minutes quickly passed by and another person opened the door before walking away to find another compartment.
Soon, more and more people opened the doors to check, which annoyed Alex to an extent. He simply looked outside until a brown skinned tall kid entered the compartment.
"Alex! I searched for you through the whole train… who would've thought that you would've taken one at the front."
Luna simply looked at Aman before going back to her Quibbler while Alex squinted at Aman who seemed to have grown a lot compared than him. Aman was already taller than him and now the difference grew even further.
"Just come in…" he said as he took his legs off the seat and looked at the girl standing behind his friend. "You know her?"
"Ah yes, meet my cousin Jane."
