Bab 21: Chapter 21
Alex patted Toffy's bald head before giving him ten galleons and took out a parchment. He began writing and didn't stop for two whole minutes.
A huge list of ingredients and names of wooden logs stared back at Toffy's delighted face as he snatched it from Alex.
"Toffy promises to bring it back to master as soon as possible!" he croaked in his high-pitched voice before a loud pop was heard and he was gone. A slight smile stayed on Alex's face for a few minutes as he wore his casual clothes and headed out.
He reached the great hall and directly headed towards the Ravenclaw table where Aman, Hannah and Susan were busy talking about something absolutely useless.
When the three saw Alex walk over, Hannah nudged Aman and the latter placed eighteen sickles on the table before pushing the coin tower towards Alex.
"Same as last week. Only weekly rentals and the big boy was auctioned off for four Galleons today. For some reason, the potter didn't like Draco having the board for six days straight."
"Thanks. I got a new offer so we will be terminating the services after five days. I won't be attending the classes for a week by the way. I'll try and get permission from professor Flitwick after dinner."
"What offer?" Asked Susan and the other two nodded as they huddled closer to Alex like it was some godly secret.
Alex took a bite of pineapple pastry as he glanced at Susan before sighing inwardly. 'I guess I'll be the big person and forgive this girl for some time. If she acts up again, I'll make sure she suffers. After all, she almost killed me.'
He was silent for a few seconds before he began telling them his own version of what had happened.
About an hour later, he talked to the half-goblin who seemed to like him a bit too much and after the discussion was done, he was quite relieved as a bit of work was taken off of his shoulders.
Flitwick had taken it upon himself to make the collection system according to Alex's needs.
After the long discussion with the head of Ravenclaw, Alex headed back to his dormitory. He entered the room and saw a huge pile on his bed. Beside the pile of what looked like random things, sat Toffy who seemed extremely pleased with his work.
"Thank you, Toffy. Take all these coins and stockpile books on curses, duelling spells, runes, traps and magical items in our home. I'll come get them when its Christmas."
"Toffy understands, master." *POP*
Alex shrunk everything and put them all in a box before using the weightlessness charm and put the box in his pocket.
He then used the disillusionment charm and checked himself out in the mirror before heading out towards the room of requirements.
Not a single person could spot him except a sixth year girl who seemed to have noticed a disturbance in the surroundings as the spell worked by manipulating the light and reflections.
Luckily it was night and most of the castle was dark. Alex stood in front of the portrait and thought about what he wanted.

A door appeared after the third try and he walked in. Cauldrons of three different sizes sat in one side of the room while a large shelf of books was on the opposite side.
A large metal table stood in the middle of the room that perfectly suited his height. He placed the small box on the table and got it back to its normal size before segregating the potion ingredients and the wooden logs.
He placed all the potion ingredients beside the largest cauldron that reached his head. He then transfigured a log into a stool where he could stand and a table to place all the ingredients.
The basic preparations such as crushing, squeezing and cutting of the ingredients alone took him about half an hour before he poured in exactly ten litres of water.
Colourful fumes wafted off from below the cauldron as he added the ingredients systematically and stirred the mixture as required.
The potion that he wanted was an advanced potion that took almost four hours to make if there were no mistakes. It was called the Insomniac Drop and did nothing other than make a person unable to sleep for a few hours.
About four hours later, only two litres of a thick viscous liquid remained in the large cauldron. Alex carefully poured it all into a container that he had specifically made for the Insomniac Drop.
It had a glass sphere at the top that stored the liquid and a small valve with a tap that only allowed one drop to drip down for each rotation of the tap. The glass sphere was charmed with weightlessness charm and expansion charm to hold a huge quantity of the liquid. The tap was then charmed to increase the quantity and weight to normal when liquid passed through the nozzle.
After he finished storing everything, he cleaned the cauldron before preparing another batch of ingredients and began to brew another potion.
This one took him only an hour to make as it wasn't too complex. After everything was done, he stored the whole batch in normal glass containers.
The potion was vastly ignored in the current times as all it did was provide a person with a lot of energy and increase their concentration.
Alex called it the energy potion just because there was no mention of the name of the potion in the book where he found the recipe.
Fifty-eight bottles of energy potion were arranged in the shelf after Alex pulled out the books from their original location.
"Finally… I can now start with the boards."
