Bab 119: Fighting demons

Freya could not bring herself to say anything for a good one minute. Her brain took its sweet time to process everything he had told her. Elric looked at her and smiled, understanding her turmoil.

"You probably see me in a different light now." He stated, schooling her expression. He then took a slow sip of his wine.

She nodded. She had always known him to be calm and kind. But now, she was beginning to think that he was also a dangerous man. His calm nature, making him even more dangerous.

"Honestly, yes. You are not as simple as I thought you to be. But I don't respect or like you any less." She confessed. "Perhaps even more."

He smiled. "That is good to hear."

"You didn't want to kill the prince of Durville at that time, but you were willing to kill him during the short war you recently fought?" Freya inquired. She had of course asked him about it, especially since she found out that he was Luciana's husband.
