Bab 115: Pain

Freya wiped his cheek with the back of her palm, her heart clenching in pain, seeing him like that.

"You are not human, Duke Elric." She stated, and his body seemed to tense. "If that is your secret, I don't see any reason you should hide it." He laughed, but it was a very sad laugh. "We live in a supernatural world."

"How did you... Know?" It even seemed like it was painful for him to speak. Whatever was happening to him, whatever this pain was, she needed it to stop. She placed one of her fingers over his mouth, stopping him from speaking.

"I know you can see in the darkness. I know you can hear from afar. Those are not very human-like features, are they? That day I found your room where you kept your weapons, you located me easily. You were not even in the mansion when I entered there, but you knew I was there. You could even see the expression on my face in that dark room, you knew I was nervous. I know that you are not human. So what are you?"
