It had been up and down for Freya since Elric's mother and Aunty came to stay with them. The mother had been very nice and friendly to her, she even liked to involve her in conversations and small talks. The only problem was his aunty. She didn't like her because she wasn't from a noble home. She believed she was a dishonour to their family name. She had even considered leaving once, but Elric persuaded her to stay. He reminded her that he owned the house, and not his aunty. He also never failed to defend her in front of the woman. The last time, he threatened to send her away if she should mistreat Freya again.

Right at that moment, Freya and the Duke were together in the kitchen, making dinner for everyone, as the servants were still not back. She discovered that he liked cooking. In fact, he found pleasure in doing simple tasks, things a man of his status would not even think of.
