Bab 7: Lucas 'POV' [2]
After I agreed, the man whom I now called master, even stopped me from calling him that, gave me 10,000 bucks, and told me to rent out an apartment and purchase myself a phone.
I asked how I could contact him, and he taught me a spell and told me that whenever I needed him I could chant that spell, and he will appear in front of me. I was too fascinated to notice that something was amiss.

How can a magician appear out of nowhere in today's modern world? Why did he want Stefan? Why was Stefan the only road of powers in my path? And the most important thing, I have always held little to no interest in the people I don't know, so why was I fascinated so much when he said he could help me gain powers.
I did not consider these things, somehow these questions did not even come to my mind. It was as if whatever the magician asked me to do, I would do it willingly, without any complaints.
'Bewitched' that's what I would like to call my state. He disappeared before I could ask any more questions with him. I did not realize at that time, that my state of mind was wrong.
How can I 'who has never seen the world properly since childhood' could ever think of harming someone whom I knew nothing of.

I was very happy after getting those 10,000 bucks as it could ensure my survival in the city. Leaving the village for the first time since childhood, I was feeling very insecure and scared. But this money came just in time.
After the 'Master' disappeared, a photo of a beautiful young man fell in front of my eyes. I quickly caught it with my hands.
'So, He is Stefan!' I thought.
''What a beautiful person!'' I exclaimed in awe.
''I have never seen someone this beautiful. Even the tourists who came to visit our village couldn't compare to him at all.''
Now my first task was to rent an apartment and purchase a new mobile phone. After entering the city for the first time, I felt very novel. I saw a stall where a middle-aged aunt was selling steamed buns. My mouth salivated at the thought of eating these delicious steamed buns.
I quickly walked to her stall and asked her about the price of the steamed buns.
''Which type of buns would you prefer?'' She asked.
'' We have both vegetable and meat buns. The vegetable buns cost 2 bucks per piece and the meat buns cost 4 bucks per piece.'' She replied.
I supposed it was almost noon, and it would take me some time to search for the apartment. I might as well purchase my dinner because I did not know if I would get time to come here again as after I find an apartment to rent, I have to search for Stefan also.
'' Give me 5 meat buns and 5 vegetable buns''. I asked.
She gave me the buns after packing the buns in oil paper and putting it into plastic. ''The total is 30 bucks''. She replied.
After paying, I started searching for a rental apartment. It took me nearly 4 hours to search for a particularly cheap apartment.
By the time I found the apartment, it was already 5 p.m. It was going to get dark soon, I quickly found a local mobile shop. I did not dare to spend much money, so I purchased a cheap model of
mobile phone. It cost me 1500 bucks adding on the rent which was 4000 bucks per month, I used up a total of 5530 bucks today.
My heart was bleeding at the thought of paying 4000 bucks every month to the landlady. But, the rental apartment had all the furniture available for daily life. So, I quickly consoled myself because I had to do more important things than grieving over those 4000 bucks.
I went back to my apartment and the first thing I did was to open my suitcase, take out a set of clothes and go for a bath. Today, I was busy the whole day, so, I did not get the chance to clean myself.
After coming out of the bath, I arranged the sheets on the bed and went to sleep, thinking about finding Stefan tomorrow.
