Seeing her intention to hurt him, Dimitri's eyes darkened, almost approaching the faint shade of blood, like the one trickling from the cut on the slope of his nose, a bitter truth rendering his heart to be squeezed by an invisible hand.

Still, his bruised state didn't diminish the soft splendor of his looks and even ripened into maturity, combined with strong strokes of the muscles on his arms, shoulders, and waist, which normally would be hidden under his lab coat and now noticeable under that fitting white long sleeve shirt, almost transparent because of his perspiration dampening it.

One would not associate the current him with a researcher dwelling all year inside his lab, fiddling with his various apparatuses and research papers.
