Bab 16: Chapter 16: Attacked

Captain Ace, Arran, and I arrived at the grand estate proudly looking over Washington DC. The sunset made the sky turn different colors despite the outside outlook of the estate, heavily guarded.

It was a last-minute decision to secretly fly to Washington DC after Arran reviewed the report on the mafia families and Ryuu Group. It’s the only way was to get more information from the Washington DC mafia before sending Ace to the Ryuu Group as planned.

Our SUV rounded the driveway, stopping at the entrance. The security team rushed to open all the doors and we all got out. Captain Ace's mouth was ajar as he took in the view of the vast estate.

“Are you f*cking kidding me,” he whispered to Arran.

“Nope. Told you and you did not believe me. Vance Adira comes from a wealthy family. But he is the humblest person you will ever meet.”

"Cut the crap, Arran,” I snapped.

Arran grinned but the guards looked away and even a few gulped in fear.
