It was a beautiful day, and I was walking down the road, enjoying a rare day off. I had decided to go to a thrift shop because I had done well in tips recently. I was looking for more nice clothes, whether for dates with Royce or to make myself feel good. I didn’t know exactly what I’d expected to find.
I hadn’t gone shopping like that in a long time, so I found myself extra giddy. I loved the thrift stores, and this was a new one that had recently opened—One Person’s Treasure. I’d heard great things about it and was thrilled to be going.
I walked into the shop, the bell dinging above the door, which was always one of my favorite parts about going into shops. Their bells were so cute. I giggled, covering my mouth so I could squeal into my hands. I didn’t want to disturb the other patrons. I looked at the wonderland of clothes, taking a deep breath in to get that consignment shop smell.
