"This is your room young master Beel." Patty opened the door to the room for Beel to see. He slowly walked in and looked around the room. It was nice. At least the nicest that he had ever gotten to see in his life. "If there is anything that you would like changed or added please do not hesitate to let us know." Patty gave a light bow to Beel. It surprised him so much that he returned it with a deeper bow. "Th-thank you Patty!" Patty smiled at Beel as she went to leave the room. "There is no need to that me young master Beel. This is my job." With that Beel was left in his new room all alone.
He explored the room a bit more found out that it had its own bathroom, a little private training room, and even a small magic study. Beel sat down fell down onto his bed after he finished finding everything in the room. He let out a sigh as he recounted the event of the day, "I attended the Heroite to honor my mother's final wish only to become a member of the most powerful family in the world. Then I find out that I didn't just become a member of the family I'm the third son now. This shit's insane." He rose from the bed and looked at the clothes that Lenton and Ze'al had chosen for him.
"I've met a lot of untrustworthy people in my life that just wanted to use me for personal gain, but for some reason those two people...I can't read them in even the slightest." Beel took pulled back the covers of his bed and laid down while still being fully clothed including the cloak. "I just want to know how in the world did someone as poor and unlucky as me get something end up in this kind of situation. Was it Kinteth Yenders himself?" He chuckled to himself at his own idea. "Yeah right, like such a legend would want anything to do with a hungry and worthless fly." He drifted into sleep in his new life.
…
Beel felt himself walking. Walking? He had just fallen asleep how was he walking? "I must be dreamin' or something because this just doesn't make any kind of sense." He looked around this space that he was walking in, and it looked quite barren. He was walking across what looked like some sort of crazy battlefield with craters and scorch marks were everywhere across the space. There was dried blood spread all over, but there were no bodies anywhere.
"All this damage, similar craters on the ground, and blood but no bodies. Was this a fight of just two people? Or a person and some kind of monster?" Beel continued to walk as he tried to find out what had happened in this place when he saw someone. The figure looked humanoid and masculine from this distance and he didn't know why but he could have sworn that he had seen this exact figure before.
As he got close he could recognize more features of the person. The person was wearing the polished silver armor with some sort of amethyst imbedded into it. They had on a flowing purple cape and white cape. They had flowing luminescent purple hair that dropped just passed their shoulders. The more features that this person had the more familiar that they looked to Beel. "Hey! You standing there!" He called out to the person and seemed to have gotten their attention as the person turned around. "Do I know..you..." He started to trail off because the moment that the person turned around he finally understood why they seemed so familiar.
This person had statues and pictures of him all over his home city of Yenden and it made sense since the city was named after him and was made to celebrate his victory. "Did you call out to me boy?" The figure moved closer to Beel and then slowed down like he was noticing something. "Y-you're K-Kinteth Y-Yenders! You're the most powerful adventurer to ever exist!" The man stood still for a second and then had a look of recognition. "Your hair. Your eyes. Their just like mine. Are you...my descendent?" Beel slowly started to nod his head as he tried to think about how he had managed to meet Kinteth after he fell asleep, but couldn't due to his own excitement at meeting the man still standing in front of him.
"You really are him. Your the world's first legend. Your the one that slayed the most powerful members of Agralon's army." Beel had a gasp of realization as he looked at his surrounding again. "This must be the place that you had your final battle with Agralon and took him down once and for all!" It was then that Beel watched Kinteth's face change. "Defeat? What do you mean defeated Agralon?" Beel was caught off guard by the question.
"What do you mean what do I mean? In your last battle with Agralon you clashed with him for three days until you managed to overcome him at the cost of your own life, right?" Kinteth looked at Beel a look so bewildered that Beel couldn't even tell what was so confusing. "I didn't defeat Agralon."
"Come again?" Beel said as he thought that he misheard Kinteth. "I never defeated Agralon, boy. I sealed him by using myself as collateral. I know that the all of you may see that as some sort of achievement or something to be proud of, but I am ashamed of myself for not putting an end to him once and for all." Kinteth could see that this had left a deep impression on his ancestor. "And now his followers will try to resurrect him." Beel quickly turned to Kinteth.
"What do you mean his followers will try to resurrect him? I thought that you killed all of the followers of Agralon?" Kinteth slowly shook his head. "During my final battle with him I learned that higher ranking demon nobility reincarnate when killed so there's a very high chance that there are followers of Agralon going around as I speak to you right now."
"Wait, then Agralon could come back soon?! Kinteth slowly nodded to Beel causing a cold sweat to start running down his back. "Then what can we so? How can we stop i-"
Growowrllorl. Silence followed after the sound of Beel stomach growling. "Why do you speak up when I need you to do it the least?" Beel's stomach growled three times to show its dissatisfaction with Beel's statement as Beel tried to hide his embarrassment. Kinteth, however, stared at Beel's stomach with eyes wide. "Boy, have you always been able to talk to your stomach?" Beel blushed hard as he heard his ancestor question his habit. "Yes, from a very young age I've talked to it whenever it was feeling hungry or whenever it makes a sound." Kinteht leaned in real close to Beel and placed both of his hands onto his shoulders. "Boy, I need you to tell me. Have you ever felt hungry for more than just food?" Beel's blush went away by his ancestor's sudden seriousness. "What do you mean?"
"I mean have you ever felt hungry for things that you know that you shouldn't eat or maybe you felt hungry after you saw a powerful creature of some sort. In situations where you knew there was a high chance of you getting injured or dying have you ever thought about still eating what you saw?" Beel could see in his ancestor's eyes that this was a very important question and Beel slowly nodded his head in confirmation. Kinteth smiled and grabbed his descendant's hands.
"You have it then. This changes the situation entirely. Boy, I understand that this is quite late in our conversation but, could you please tell me your name?" Beel looked at his hands then back to Kinteth before saying, "My name is Beel Greynold Yenders, sir." Kinteth smiled at Beel and placed his hand onto his head. "Congratulations, Beel. You may have the ability to save the world." Kinteth backed away from Beel and knelt on the ground. "Ancestor, I apologize for being rude but, why can't you just be straight forward?" Kinteth gave a light chuckle at Beel's question.
"What I mean is that you seem to have inherited an ability, or rather trait, of mine that I had no idea could be passed down. You have the hunger, Beel." Kinteth spread his arms to either side. "Oh wait I apologize you wish for me to be straight forward. What I mean is, you have the Devour ability, Beel."
Beel's stomach started to growl excitedly now that it had been recognized almost as if saying, "It's about time that you found out!"
