Bab 15: Chapter 15: I Hate This Dungeon

Mill felt the cold floor as he awoke from unconsciousness. He lifted himself off of the ground and took a look around the room. As he regained his bearings, as he slowly started to recall the events that just took place within this very room. He looked at his right arm, that from his memory was burned and unusable, and noticed that it had seemingly completely healed.

"How in the world?" He looked at the rest of his body and saw that there were still a few cuts still on his body, but the most shocking thing was the wound from Lokk's sword going into his stomach looked as though it had started to heal but didn't finish leaving a scar. "Do I have some sort of sleep healing ability? Well even if I do it doesn't look like it finished, but I don't really have any time to waste." He clenched his right hand to make sure that everything was alright and walked towards the exit of the room. It was quite obvious seeing as there was a brightly shining light coming from a door that wasn't there before Mill went unconscious, so he went in.

As he walked closer Mill had to cover his eyes as the light from the room didn't die down until he entered the room. When he removed his hands from his eyes, he saw a small open room and in the center was the source of the light. Mill saw an orb floating in the air while it was inside of a clear container of some sort. Mill felt compelled to walk closer to the item as the light was so magnificent and warm that he wished to feel it more. "This seems like a really bad idea. I mean, I did just recently fall into a trap that almost killed me, but I can't just walk away from this." Mill got even closer to the item in the center of the room until he could place his hands on the containment device.

Mill look around the clear container to see how he could remove it. He knocked on it and quickly realized that it wasn't made of any sort of glass, so he couldn't break it. He tried to lift the container off of the item, but it didn't even budge in the slightest. Mill was really didn't know what it was that he needed to do until he looked at the top of the container and saw a small keyhole. At first, he was confused but he then remembered the key that started this whole thing. Mill pulled the key out of his pocket to compared it to the size of the keyhole. Mill put the key into the hole, and it went in, so Mill tried turning it and heard a click as the key turned in the hole. The glass container opened up from the top, then slowly dropped into a hole that had opened in the floor leaving the item floating there in front of Mill.

"At least it doesn't seem dangerous." Mill reached out and grabbed the orb and... nothing happened. Like, absolutely nothing happened, and it was really confusing to Mill. The orb had even stopped glowing and now it was just a weird black sphere that didn't seem to do anything. Mill shook it around and tried to make it do something, but it had no reaction. "Welp, that was even worse than when I got the key in the first place." Mill sighed. After almost losing his life the only reward that he got was an all-black orb that didn't do anything.

"Well, I can't just get rid of it, so I guess you're staying with me." Mill put the orb into his pocket and tried to find the exit of this room or some sort of change in the surroundings. He couldn't find anything different, and he didn't see a door other than the one that he came in from. 'Maybe something changed in the other room.' Mill went into the previous room, but it was just as empty as before. Mill let out a sigh and went to the other room again. 'This place is really confu-' When he walked back through the door of what was previously the orb room instead of walking onto the floor Mill fell through it.

"Are you kidding me!" As the wind rushed past Mill, he was very quickly engulfed in darkness, and he continued falling. Mill felt around for the wall but couldn't control his fall very well. "Oh, come on, Mill think! If we don't do something we're gonna die!" Mill started to panic, and his thoughts and ideas started to race through his head.

"Why don't I try to summon some water to break my fall? Gah, I don't think I can focus enough to do that right now." Plan after plan and idea after idea raced through Mill's head and left it as fast as he thought about them when he suddenly started to hear something. "Make water. Make water. Oh, please water come out!" A pleading voice was screaming somewhere behind. him.

"I might be able to use wind magic if I just try hard enough, so why don't you come out already!" another voice called out. More and more voices started to appear, but it was too dark for Mill to see where they were coming from, but there was something weird about them. "Why do they sound so familiar?" Mill tried to think where he had heard the voice before.

"Is it Lua?"

"Maybe, Karl?"

"Couldn't be, Darren." Three more voices suddenly appeared out of nowhere but this time they were talking about Mill's party members. "What the hell is going on. Wait a minute!" Mill listen to what the voices were saying and realized that they were saying the things that he was thinking. Or at least every one voice was saying one thing that he had thought about while he was falling. And the voice, the one that sounded so familiar it's no wonder that he recognizes it. "That's my voice! Not just one of them, all of them are me. This must be another weird form of this ability." Mill smiled to himself now that he had a theory as to what was happening.

"Well, I solved the mystery behind the voices, but that doesn't really help my current situation." Mill looked down and saw that he was still falling and didn't seem to be close to reaching the end anytime soon. The only good thing is that though the voices are annoying they help distract Mill from his current predicament which calms him down a bit. Now that his mind was clearer Mill tried to think more logically. 'I doubt that the floor would open up and drop me with the intention of killing me. I mean, this is still just a simulation of a dungeon so I should be fine in the end.' Mill's eyes started to adjust to the darkness, and he could see that he was getting closer to hitting some sort of ground, but it was still too far away to tell.

'Please don't kill me after I beat the secret boss. I still have more fight left in me.'
